Mounting a BBSHD in an Ultra frame?

The BBSHD needs a bottom bracket housing in which to mount. With the Ultra frame you don’t have that mounting option.

No power/current display after Ultra 620 Canbus-UART conversion

Sorry, I don't have any additional useful info for you.

No power/current display after Ultra 620 Canbus-UART conversion

It should be pretty straight-forward - the display/EggRider is directly connected to the motor controller via the wiring harness, so assuming you're actually pedaling or using the throttle there should be both non-zero Power and Current displayed. You mentioned replacing the "torque sensor,"...

    Bafang M620 upgrade?

One can tune the ULTRA (M620) to require almost no torque to output high power, of course. And a 52Volt Ultra produces a lot of power. My guess is the OP with an Ultra and Rohloff either has a problem in the motor or hub (or dragging brakes or something), or is simply not using a low enough gear.

Ultra Tuning: Decoding the Torque Tab's SPD Table

Yeah, it's a bummer EggRider removed the Torque Live Value functionality. Maybe if enough of us ask on their Facebook page they'll put it back (I've already asked). One suggestion I have for starting is to make all the SPDxx column values the same. This way bike speed won't factor into your...

Ultra Tuning: Decoding the Torque Tab's SPD Table

My first thought is to look at your settings for the Voltage Section of the Torque Tab. That's where the mapping from the torque you apply to the pedal gets mapped to the torque value that gets input into the SPD table. It's a bit convoluted, but my understanding is that: 1) There's a torque...

    Which is better?

Might also help on car racks, although as long as I pay attention I can pre-rotate the cranks so they miss the other bike. That folding handlebar (or the Flatbike rotating stem, which lets you keep your existing handlebar) is interesting for that, too, especially if you're using ramps to get a...

Chain degreasing and skipping on smallest cog

I agree with this assessment. Bent derailleurs can be a hard thing to check without the proper tool, though.

    Digital Torque Wrench

For most bolts that have torque specifications, that's a "dry torque." If you're lubricating the threads, then you need to reduce the applied torque by some amount - and I don't know what that amount is. Maybe I'm misinterpreting your "spray silicone" phrase, though?

    1UP-USA Racks - I'm a fan

So, I take back what I said about opposite sides for the ramps. Turns out to avoid handlebars hitting each other you want the second ramp on the SAME side as the first bike. That means you're rolling the second bike up backwards (rear wheel first), in which case if the second bike's seat clears...

    Grin Satiator Factory Reset?

So, I decided to try the Satiator software, which runs on PC/Mac to see about the firmware update. Turns out what I have is still the latest, but I was able to edit the name and parameters, create new profiles, etc. and so I now have 4 profiles for our bikes: 1) Slow Charge to 85% 2) Fast Charge...

    1UP-USA Racks - I'm a fan

No, it's pretty easy to tell that he did: 1) He tightened the allen wrench tightly. 2) You can see that the bike platform doesn't sway, but the bikes on it do. He's totally right about unloading. You need three hands - I use my head to hold the bike. I don't get as much sway as he does, but...

    1UP-USA Racks - I'm a fan

Yeah, that helps --- if you have the room on both sides of the vehicle to have the ramp and space to roll the bike to it. EDIT: Also that means one of the bikes has to be rolled on backwards. Not that big a deal, but can be a bit awkward. I also replaced the pins that come with the ramp kit...

    Grin Satiator Factory Reset?

Here's an old review. I bought mine during a big sale during the Pandemic to have as a spare, and thought I'd finally spend some time customizing it for our 2 identical Luna eBikes. https://www.ebikeschool.com/review-cycle-satiator-better-ebike-charger/ EDIT: I agree "Satiator" is not a great...

    Grin Satiator Factory Reset?

I bought a Grin Satiator years ago during a big sale. I'm just now starting to use it. I edited a pre-canned profile and now decided I want it back. I can manually restore the settings, but it's lost the precanned profile's name. Is there any way to perform a Factory Reset on it to remove all my...

Zen Photon Ultra - limited version (Bafang Ultra, Rohloff Speed hub, Gates belt drive)

Can you give pointers or provide some information on "order the Ultra in the Road version?" AFAIK, there's not a Road vs Off-Road version of the motor itself, but you can choose different sets of 5 PAS settings that some displays show as "Road" vs. "Off-Road" - others "Sport" vs. "Eco" EDIT: I...

I replaced the wheels on my wife's bike with wheels that had the XD driver because we wanted wider rims and the 10 tooth sprocket. Two years and a couple thousand miles later, the GX cassette is still going strong, as is my original GX cassette with close to 3500 miles. The SRAM X01 chains have...

Saddle pressure, numbness, and maintaining sexual health at 59

Much good advice here on bike fit, too much padding, etc. I'll add that the right size (as in width) saddle is important, too, Too narrow a seat you're not resting your sit bones. This is for SQ Lab saddles, but the fit measurements apply to all saddles...
