Energypak Plus range extender for 2020 bikes

Helpful write up. Still don’t understand why Giant dropped the capacity from 500 to 375 when everyone else is going the other way (niche products excepted).

That’s an excellent looking solution, good find. I notice the 2020 Fastroad has none of the case mouldings or annoying shrouds which trap the chain on the QuickE+. The design dept obviously got the memo

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

@ Stefan - You've missed the point - his Giant dealer is clearly an idiot. At this point his local Trek dealer is an unknown quantity, but it's not clear that they are also incompetent. You seem to be suggesting he stick with a brand that has proved to be less than reliable (electrics) and a...

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

And, hopefully, a new shop that knows the difference between a right and left hand thread. A work colleague had a similar sort of doofus experience with a 2020 Giant Fastroad E+ (which was also completely unsuitable - why did Giant drop the battery capacity from 500 to 375?) and eventually...

ISO 60-622 Commute Tire (for tubeless)

Nice that Bontrager actually give a durometer (60A) for those tyres. Schwalbe compounds are a complete dogs breakfast - Basic, Dual, Road Star,TravelStar, Onestar, Evolution, Performance, 4 standard Addix compounds plus Addix E etc etc. Who knows what you're actually getting? The last Schwalbe...

Which is likely how the whole crank mess began, if in fact they fitted two RH crank arms, and two RH pedals. That isn't something a factory would have done; it's a spotty teenager mistake.

ISO 60-622 Commute Tire (for tubeless)

I really don't think weight matters much on an ebike. Grip is most important by far, followed by puncture protection, and durability in my book. Take a look at the Kenda Kwick Drumlin - 1595g for the 27.5x2.2 which is rated as best for high speed ebikes...

ISO 60-622 Commute Tire (for tubeless)

I've got 27.5x2.25 G One All Round (Performance, folding) and they are a great riding tyre but for the lightweight carcass. Excelllent grip but needs more sidewall support and puncture protection. I've ordered the 2.15 Almotion and hoping it will be as grippy on wet seal.

2020 Explore E+ RockShox Fork Update

Both fine forks... another inch or so of travel would give you the room to run softer air pressures (as 6zfshdb suggested) which would help smooth the ride

You could have spaced the RS 30 Gold fork down. Takes 15min to fit the spacers to the air shaft to reduce travel to whatever you need.... https://www.amazon.com/Rockshox-Travel-Spacers-Soloair-Change/dp/B00HRW3UD8

Those two pedals are L&R threaded? Sounds and looks like your dealer is a complete idiot. I'd say they swapped out a crank arm off your bike for another customer and received the wrong replacement from Giant and fitted it anyway. The Nukeproof and Giant pedals don't even match. Did you buy it...

    Adjusting Brake lever throw out

Almost always. Some higher end lever bodies have tool-less reach adjustment, and lower end bodies have a grub screw which does the same thing with a 2mm or 2.5mm allen key. Do a search online for your brake model adjustments, since we have no clue...
