Somewhere else in the Forum a fellow rider made an aluminum adapter plate rather than elongating the mounting holes in the lock itself. If your a bit handy with files and maybe a Dremel and a drill, it would be fairly easy to make this adapter plate at home. I am guessing I will use 1/4"...

Different price point, but bombproof and waterproof- Endura MT500 has proven one of the best I have tried. Lots of great rain wear out there, but when it comes to a riding fit not all pass the test.

Sounds like a loose headset. If your not familiar with adjustments for that I would spend a couple of bucks and get a shop to do the adjustments. Better than beating up internal components continually.
