Retrofit of my (now) bluish, purplish bike!

@PedalUma , I've tried everything you suggested... no luck... I'm going to rethink the TSDZ2, and possibly the Open Source firmware. But then I need the 860C display too. It's possible that I have a defective TSDZ2... so something else to think about. I have other bikes that I can install the...

Retrofit of my (now) bluish, purplish bike!

That didn't help. After the initial boost, the power dwindles down until it's completely gone. Then I have to shut down and restart the bike... and the cycle repeats. So I got frustrated... (no I didn't throw the bike in the lake!) Ha! I did pull the TSDZ2 motor, and popped the Bafang in. I...

Converting a TSDZ2 to a coaster brake version

That's how it started for me too! I haven't built up a cruiser ebike though. I restored a red vintage schwinn, and then bought an e-cruiser (shown in avatar). I still toy with the idea of building a cruiser, but really, the Vado is so much fun, I can't see how the cruiser(s) can compare.

Retrofit of my (now) bluish, purplish bike!

Not a lot of excitment here. I can only change the voltage and amperage. The amperage was set to 00, which is the default, whatever that may be. I set it to 15 amps. I'll test that. Maybe later I'll try 17. But to get into the really fun stuff, I need to get an 860C display so I can look at...

    Advice for adding hydraulic brakes?

I'm thinking about converting my purplish/bluish bike to hydraulic brakes, just because... I've never done that before. Any thing to watch out for. Any recommendations? Is it just plug and play, or do I have to learn about hydraulic fluids and bleeding? Mike...

Converting a TSDZ2 to a coaster brake version

@EMGX , would you do a single speed coaster? Or would you not do anything lower than a 3 speed coaster? Just wondering, cause you've done the 3 speed!

I've never seen this on the trail before...

It was a hot day today. So after work I decided to go for a bike ride. The trail has a speed limit of 20mph. So I was working off some stress. I was doing good... 18mph... 19mph... then in a final burst I hit the low 20's. Suddenly, in my field of view appears this: Hmmm is this what I...

    Ultimate 380+ crash

On my old regular bike I used to come around the corner into my neighborhood at about 5 to 8 mph. I have to look to the right to make sure no cars are turning onto the street, and to the left to make sure I don't hit the curb. At the slow speed there is time to do both. Fast forward to...
