I have a Bafang BBS02 Mid Drive on one of my FS bikes, and am planning on installing a gear sensor for the same reason. o_O

Agreed, I should have called them mid drive chains... but how do they strengthen them? Thicker links? I'll have my chain in a few days, I can actually measure them then... Meanwhile, I was wondering!

I had it aligned directly for the eyeballs! ha... So here in the first pic it's pointed at the eyeballs... In the second picture, I moved it down a bit!

So you're saying this dim should be 30-45 degrees at small cog to small cog? Looking at my bikes, I suspect it more like 90 degrees large cog to large cog, and 135 degrees large cog to small cog... But what do I know... I've never played with chain lengths...

@JES2020 Even the mid drive TSDZ2 is fairly easy to do... I looked to see if Micah Toll had a youtube of a TSDZ2 build, but I couldn't find one. So that might confirm what @Gionnirocket said! Ha!

@4speed Perfect. That's what I'll use... I printed a template this morning to check my downtube dimensions... the template fits reasonably well. Now to design some kind of a bracket/BOB bar! Ha! I didn't really want to use hose clamps. But some combination of nuts, bolts and cable ties might...

Another option is to just get an M4x10, knowing the top will be recessed about 2mm instead of flush with the surface. Then if you know someone with a 3D printer, you could print some plugs.

Opps, I deleted the last photo, because that was the dimension of a socket head cap screw, not a flat head...
