No Bafang Ultra on Luna's website ?

Looks like "ironhorse" posted the Ultra question before I could. I'm curious what the reply is going to reveal.

No Bafang Ultra on Luna's website ?

@pushkar and everyone... I got a reply back from Luna. I'll be posting my recommended question via this link to inquire with the boss as to why.

No Bafang Ultra on Luna's website ?

This is interesting. There's this message for the Bafang Ultra Magnesium drive: "Note: This item has been archived and may not be restocked." I've sent them a message inquiring if the item is going to be restocked or if it's no longer being sold. I'll leave another post if/when I get a...

What would you do with 4000W power?

I can't think of a use case for 4000W or more watts other than for speed. I'm in accord with onlineaddy, if I want to go 50mph or more I'd rather do so on a motorcycle.

    Questions For Watt Wagon Owners

How is peddling your bikes in 11th gear? Peddling in 11th gear feels fine, but I'd like to posit that I actively shift gears depending on terrain and the speed or cadence I'm in the mood for. Could you do the bulk of you riding in this gear if you choose to, based on the power of the motor and...

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

@webcurl, there are inexpensive tensioners available, but I've only used the Gates Carbon Belt drive android app and it's always worked for me: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gates.carbondrivecalculator&hl=en_US

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

My wife who's from Germany was how I found out about them around the time I purchased my Ultimate Commuter. She got them for me as a gift, and although I don't know the seller on Ebay she got them from directly, here's a link for what I'm currently using...

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

My Ultimate Commuter has a quick release seat post, as well as pedals that have a quick release feature. When my ebike is secured with the ABUS Bordo, and lacks a seat and pedals it's a bit more of a deterrent than an ebike only secured with a lock. Granted, if my ebike has been singled out...

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

I've never had any issues with my seat post slipping down. I have a quick release seat post clamp as part of my theft deterrence setup, but I don't know if this could be the reason I don't have any slipping.

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

I totally understand your concern on damaging your rear hub. The Rohloff isn't bombproof, but it's a pretty stout IGH. I'll take it over my Nuvinci any day of the week. I've experienced the mis-shifts you're mentioning, but they tended to happen when I was starting from a dead stop on PAS 5...

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

Hi ak907, Welcome aboard! I find your review very detailed and expressing some of the same points that I've come across. You've done a great write up. One thing I found interesting is in regards to the 1000W engine. I ordered the 750W version and still find it quite powerful. However...

Any interest in a Bosch based Ultimate Commuter Pro ?

Hi Pushkar, My answer is "no" or at best, "meh". I believe Bosch is a quality brand with good ebike motors, but pound for pound and adjustment ease and ability I'll stick with the current Bafang motor.
