    Pictures of an E-Bike Adventure

Beautiful windy ride just ahead of rain storms for the next week. Getting around the Lake's 12 miles of single track track, no problem!

    Rydesafe Reflective Decals

Have this reflective tape on my bikes. Works great on vehicle and along one of my fences, also. I only have white, but red may be available: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D8U9K86/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Pictures of an E-Bike Adventure

Beautiful fall ride, pedal assisted up into my local N Cal hills. It's fun to have assist 1700 feet up the hills. What did your ride look like today?

    How does torque sensing work?

The couple ebikes I test rode with torque sensing provided quite a nice "automatic transmission" feeling, relative to the effort I pedaled. While I preferred this experience over my radrover's, cadence pas, the cost difference was significant. In fact, I was able to get 2 rovers for the cost of...

    Question for experienced builders: wattage

Sorry you have to be concerned about bike police. Some folks have simply de-branded their bikes for personal reasons. The brands can be covered over with vinyl or painted. Also, I find having a nice bike cover keeps the weather off when parked outside. :)

    Bike light

I echo above experiences with lights. Am using the Raniaco’s 400 lumens USB Rechargeable Bicycle Light and Blitzu Ultra Bright Taillight on my city bike. Both quite adequate for well-lit small town streets. On my electric bike I have much brighter lights, great for streets & trails: Fenix BC 21r...

    Commuter for a hilly city

Certainly lots of bikes to choose from these days. While I have my radrover bike for fun adventures & errands, I certainly would commute it under the conditions described. From what I've read Juiced bikes are quite a good value, also. Have a fun cycle.

    Pictures of an E-Bike Adventure

After a short detour to vote, got back on the bikes and cycled past 20 miles of vineyards on the beautiful fall day. Wondering where other ebikers ventured out to day.

    Rad city.

Generally I use the throttle to get my radrover rolling from a stop, and gently get power which matches my pedal cadence. Once I'm "cruising", then I'll set in in a pedal assist mode, such as 3, 4 or 5, that matches how fast I want to go. I know other ebikes offer more refined pas experiences...

    Fixing a flat 20"fat tire e-bike

Not sure about a 20", but the 26x4 tires on my bike go on and off quite easy. I've changed tires several times. Not getting the rear motor hub wheel on and off safely takes a little skill. If a rear tire goes flat it is less hassle to keep the tire on and patch, if possible. As a precaution...

    Too strong bike lights

I've got a couple inexpensive led headlights that claim to be 400 lumens brightness. Plenty bright for $22 rechargeable lights. A good reminder for cyclists to kindly adjust lights down towards the road and away from on-coming drivers. I remember having one of those rub against the tire...

    Hello from Orange County, CA!

That bike is one more inspiration for me to bbshd my motobecane fantom mtn bike. I've been looking at lunacycle's kit. For now I do enjoy my radrover here in N Cal, but it would be fun to zip up steep single track. Sounds like your bike will do that and wheelies, too. :)

    DYI Recumbent Tandem

Impressive project! Wonderful to have the documentation on the fine parts & workmanship involved. Has me thinking about someday putting a mid hub on my old breezer uptown with a shimano nexus 8 hub. Best wishes for ease and success with the final tandem project!

Possible to make an Ebike go 75+ mph?

I think my honda fit has hit 75. I've hit 30 with the radrover going downhill. I figure, why hurry, life's short?

    Theft

Couple people I know use netgear arlo cameras. They seem simple to place and easy to use. I lock my bikes when parked in the backyard, also. Good luck.
