    Turbo bottom bracket noise

Yeah, I have had bracket work done once and then the bearing casings were somehow set to place with locktite (blue) to prevent them from moving. After that it was pretty silent, but now it is starting to get pretty noisy. I still have to investigate the pedals but I am pretty sure it is coming...

    Turbo bottom bracket noise

I have recently been getting rather loud clicking (actually more like popping) noise from the bottom bracket when under load. Anyone have similar experiences? The BB is FSA Megaevo 386.

    Problems with Specialized Turbo?

If it is a 2015 model I dont think the mileage can be that high. And even if it was at around 3000 miles, for example, that is still nothing. Maybe you need to change the brake pads, maximum. Otherwise the wear is pretty easy to see just by examining the bike. 1800$ is almost for free if it is a...

    A preview of the 2016 Turbo (non-Levo)

On easy bits, like downhill, you could use no assist then set eco to 20-30% for normal to semi hard parts and for hard ones use the turbo. I mostly ride in 30% assist and sometimes the regen mode for exercise. Turbo I use for really strong head winds. I have not really missed a third assist...

    A preview of the 2016 Turbo (non-Levo)

Yes, there is one more lighter gear in the new model. In the old one largest is 36 T whereas in the new it is 40. Front rings are the same. Not very often do I use the lightest gear, though. If the derailleur has a chain clutch that is a nice to have when taking the wheel out.

    A preview of the 2016 Turbo (non-Levo)

If I understood correctly, the MY16 no longer has break lever activated regen. It is 48T in the front. I dont know if the Shimano XT is a step up from the SRAM X0. Is it not possible to turn off the lights in this model?

    Specialized Turbo S 2013 vs 2015

I see a motorcycle in your avatar (assuming it is your current ride), what do you need an ebike for. (Having never ridden a MC).

    Specialized Turbo S 2013 vs 2015

At 6'4 XL is the way to go. I am 6'1 and I have XL, although XL is a bit too large for me. I dont think you regret going for the MY13, at least if you get it for less than 4kUSD.

    Questions, issues, Specialized Turbo X

According to the specs the X has a 562 WH battery (vs 691 Wh in S) but the motor has half the power of the S. So even though the X battery is only about 80% of the capacity of S battery, having a smaller motor should compensate for it. But I dont know how things are in real life.

    Specialized Turbo S 2013 vs 2015

I have the MY 2013 Turbo S. It has quality components, for example: derailleur is SRAM X0 (10 speed), works like a dream, Magura MT Carbon hydraulic disc brakes are very powerful. Motor is a Go SwissDrive 250W with 342 Wh LiNiMnCoO2 battery. The 2013 also has ANT+ support for, e.g., heart rate...

    Questions, issues, Specialized Turbo X

I am 184 and I use XL with no problems but I think for me better would have been L. You would also be probably better off with L. I have the XL because I bought a slightly used showroom bike and there weren't really better options for that price.

    Questions, issues, Specialized Turbo X

Yes, only the store/service can remove it. If they say no, you can tell you register it as moped. Should not be a problem for them. I think 200W vs 250W you may have more difficulty maintaining 45 km/h, but it probably wont make so much difference if your max speed is 25 km/h. I favorable...

    Questions, issues, Specialized Turbo X

    3. Does the bikes can operate lights, or they may light up all the time when you start batteries and they can not be turned off? - At least in model year -13 the bike computer has a light switch. Another switch is on the light (Supernova E3) itself. 4. Do Regen mode actually really charges the...

    ......

That could be the case if there is no common stricter requirement set at EU level. Member states can deviate from regulations if it is for a safer standard but not the other way around. Why we dont have a s-pedelec class like in Germany and Switzerland is probably because this has been such a...

    ......

Yeah, forgot about the licence plate which in Germany too is quite big. Here there are none in bikes as S-pedelecs are not recognized officially. I did consider registering mine as a moped just as a test case. But then it would have been still in some gray area compared to moped with regard to...

    ......

Another thing is enforcement. Are they really going to spend resources on looking for s-pedelecs with a rider that has the wrong standard helmet on. As long as you have something on, if a helmet is required in the first place. In most cases, it is difficult to even distinguish a pedelec from an...

    2014 Battery Failure?

Quite slow when it appears to be a clear case of replacement battery. Maybe your case has got stuck at some lower levels in hierarchy.

Cycling Across America - Marissa Muller (Solar Powered Specialized Turbo)

Very cool. I would like to have the same solar setup for my Turbo. Too bad it isnt available commercially. Those recon glasses looked also kind of interesting. I wonder how well they stay on while running.

    Work on Turbo bottom bracket

I had some clicking noise coming from the bottom bracket during high torque pedaling so I asked the seller if there is anything can be done about it. He opened it up and put some Locktite Blue to stabilise the bearing cases. I think the clicking sound was reduced. I think it is standard bracket...
