    2025 Vado

My Garmin Varia eRTL615 Ebike Radar taillight came with a GoPro type seat rail attachment and I do not use a Specialzied saddle. I drilled a hole for the wire in a non-critical section of the aluminum head of the seat post similar to the Specialized seat post. I use lights 24/7 on my Creo. I...

Specialized Support site - Turbo Systems

Reading through the new article Turbo Technology: Specialized SL 1.2 Motor, it turns out the SL 1.2 will only draw maximum 70% power when only using a RE battery. Who knew? This will be of interest to people who plan to fly and tour with their Creo's and Vado SL 1s. Lithium batteries just...

Specialized Support site - Turbo Systems

Specialized has updated the support site with a lot of information about their Turbo systems all in one place. I hope they continue the documentation trend. https://support.specialized.com/kb/sp_en-us/browse/202300000002058/All-About-Turbo

    2025 Vado

How did we drift from a Vado to a Vado SL 2? You probably don't need to remove the battery just the lower battery cover but a shop might do that to be quicker. There are some notes of how to drill a Cirrus Kinect wiring hole in their aluminum seatpost from a post in this fourm from a two or...

(RESOLVED): Second time around...not the charm Vado 4.0

As the thread starter (edited) you can update the title to include "resolved". You certainly had an very unusual collection of atypical failures. Yes you can tell the difference between the two motors on a Creo but it is somewhat subtle depending on the mass of the rider.

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

The Specialized support site has added a section on the Turbo Vado SL 2 (2025 - ). They've have a lot of detail about the new bike and it's systems. It's got some changes to systems from it's predecessors. Some of the documentation is only available to the retailer and will require the...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

The GX level upgrade is a couple levels below XX1. I use the XG-1275 Eagle cassette but Specialize specs the much cheaper/heavier PG1210, 12-Speed, 11-50t on the Creo 2 E5. You can find different OEM upgrade kits for good value. There are some brake mount fastener differences that are not...

Battery Range Experience for Specialized E-Bikes

The Creo SL or the Vado SL won't support the increased lighting requirements for a 45 km/h ebike and some of the other features required on a Stromer to make it meet them. I suppose they could run a Vado SL 2 around a track but I don't think anyone would find that interesting.

Battery Range Experience for Specialized E-Bikes

Since their design center is in Switzerland, it's not surprising they don't have real world data other than 15mph/24kmh.

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

I think the Vado SL 2 compare well to Canyon Grizl:ON cf 9 and the Cannondale Tesoro Neo Carbon 1 . They each made different design choices. Specialized went for the 520 Wh battery vs the 400 Wh.

    Crank noise Vado Sl

I think it's rare to have a failure. I have 13,805 14,500 miles on my Creo SL v1. There is a rider on the fb Specialzed Creo page with over 34000 miles and original battery.

    Volabike Range Extender

People I know that have traveled to Europe to ride, go with two Specialized RE's in carry-on. The Volabike extender batteries at either 240 Wh or 480 Wh are too big to fly, so you would have to have it shipped to your location. Volabike refers to it as an extender and doesn't mention using it...

Replacing The Coin Battery In the Specialized SL TCU Gen 1

I have found the easiest method is to use either a small flat screwdriver (0.1in or 3mm blade) or a scalpel hobby knife (x-acto) to carefully flex the retainer lip down and let the battery slide out. May need to use the tip of the knife to help it slide out.

Will 700x47c Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss Ready tyres fit on a Turbo Vado SL 5?

I include the setup and periodic maintenance. I need to add sealant about every 3-4 weeks in the rear. I have a calendar reminder to wax chains and check sealant every two weeks. I've learned tubeless doesn't work if it's out of sealant. Flats per mile are very dependent on where you ride...

Turbo tero x - Tcd mastermind loses data randomly

I would look first to your step by step process of how you plug in and charge the bikes with the battery in the bike vs when you take the battery out. You have two bikes, different models, probably different times of manufacture and no one else reporting the same symptoms. Are you using the...

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

It will be interesting to see what or if they do for an aluminum version of the Vado SL 2. In the meantime, the Creo SL 2 E5 is will be very easy to convert to a flat bar because of the SRAM components. Bars, brake levers, shifter and a control switch. A few more parts to add the wired lights.

Will 700x47c Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss Ready tyres fit on a Turbo Vado SL 5?

It's not a magic solution and it doesn't work in every flat. It's moving the work you might do by the side of the road changing a tube to at home or at the shop. However, a rider in our group recently mentioned the bike shop found a nail floating inside the tire. There was no corresponding...

Will 700x47c Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss Ready tyres fit on a Turbo Vado SL 5?

It's by feel. If it feels too harsh while riding, the springs are too strong. If it feels too mushy, the springs are to weak. If you don't notice either way, they are just fine.
