    Ebike specific Chain

I finally just gave in and purchased one of those chain stretch gauges. I will now trust it, and replace the chain when the gauge indicates it.

    Extra Headlight

So far so good, the light feels like it is made of good quality, but since it is a cheap led light, so I am not expecting much. The light was $18 delivered, and states 8000 lumens, and no brand. I guess Chinese generic brand. It is much brighter than my 1000 lumen name brand flashlight, so I at...

    Larger Chainring

Has anyone else experimented with a larger chainring? Since I use my bike for commuting, I am always looking for ways to get from point A to B faster. Being able to keep up with traffic affords me the ability to use the better/safer part of the road. I recently changed my chainring from 42T to...

    Woot!

Does the light on the side (not in the center where you are traveling) throw you off a bit?

    Night commuting

The purple lights on the bottom are just regular car ground effects lights. I used 3 12" strips of waterproof led ground effects lights (found at any automotive or larger department store). I mounted 1 each on the chain stays and the third on the bottom bracket. They are quite cheap, I think I...

    Extra Headlight

Just added an accessory bar to my front fork and an extra head beam to my bike for night commutes. I saw a lot of OEM bikes have lights mounted in the same location. Not sure if the lamp can handle that kind of shock but I will find out. Going out for my first ride with the extra light now.

    Night commuting

Since half of my commutes are at night, I thought I would add some extra lights (a little neon and some ground effects). Hopefully it will be visible enough that the motorist will actually see me for a change.

    Joining the iZip Dash Party

Congrats Yup I agree, best for your money Just wish the battery was a little bigger Good luck......looks like all uphill back Hope the battery makes it Note: don't rely on the last battery bar it is usually only good for PAS 1. If you go higher with a strong load it may cut out on you.

    Light

Well, that is why I am not sure I can recommend it just yet. Got it for christmas, so I have been running it just over a month now. I would say that I have about 20 hours of use into it right now. So far no problems. Its a 2 piece system (light & battery) with a connector in between (that is...

    Light

I run this one. Its like $15 Ridiculous 10,000 lumens (doubt it but that is what is on the box) Much brighter than those bike lights that cost $100 plus from the bike stores. In no way do I think these lights are better than those ones they sell at the bike stores, but it is brighter, and a...

    2016 E3 Peak DS-20MPH or 28MPH?

Hmmmmmmm 2016 mid drive peak will cut assist at 20 mph But everything is still there, just need to relocate the sensor and magnet so the assist will never cut off Oh and go with a bigger chainring 42 tooth is good for climbing but not the best for high speeds That's the peak not ds

Switching out to hydraulic brakes. Switching to brighter headlight.

Don't have a RAD, so I cannot comment on that, but the difference/benefit is the amount of pressure you need to apply to the brake lever. In most cases, this is not a problem, except when going downhill, fast on either a bumpy trail or a bumpy paved road (pot holes, tree roots, etc). Being able...

    Ebike specific Chain

16 iZip e3 Peak The chains would probably last a bit longer, I have no idea. But since it is a commuter, and I cannot risk the chance of breaking a chain I usually change the chain at around the 3 month mark.

    Ebike specific Chain

Thanks Will I had already assumed that the ebike specific chain would be better (stronger/last longer). What I was looking for is how much better? Ebike specific chain cost me about $60 My go to chain about $20 I clean and re-lube my drive system every 150km I replace my chain every 1500-2000 km...
