Does the ADA supersede local restrictions on Ebikes?

Unless you are a doctor, your opinion about your ability or lack there of, is not a factor. A medical doctor determines that.

electrifying my 3 wheeler wheel chair. Friction drive or scooter tire?

I have looked at complete scooters to cannibalize. The Gotrax Rival from Walmart is $250 all in. It has a wheel that I think would work, plus everything else. That is looking like a go. I can always put it back together and sell it for something if it doens't work out.

electrifying my 3 wheeler wheel chair. Friction drive or scooter tire?

Thanks. Rich. My idea is not well thought out, some might say half baked? I know I get more exercise with a bit of help on my ebike, and think something similar might happen with the chair. Not sure, but thinking that. It is pretty hilly where I live. I could go to more places with the chair...

electrifying my 3 wheeler wheel chair. Friction drive or scooter tire?

I have a Grit freedom chair, it basically has a single speed bike chain setup on both sides. The levers on each side are used to propel oneself. I like it and use it a great deal. I am considering powering up the front wheel on this chair. Not to replace my arms, but to augment them, much like...

    e-not-bikes

aliexpress. whoa. what a rabbit hole. It was hard to remember the mission. My dropouts are 100mm. Currently there is a 9 inch tire, but I could try an 8 or 10 as they seem much more numerous. All in the planning stages now. I have ebike with 48volt battery, so I would like to stay at 48 volts...

    e-not-bikes

I have a 3 wheeled wheelchair, called freedom chair. It uses levers and chains back to each rear axle which is basically a single speed bike apparatus on each side. I steer with the front wheel. The 9 inch(may be room for 10) front wheel might be electric motorizable? How small a wheel can have...

Hello From Belfast, Northern Ireland - Sad about purchase about first e-bike!

The specs look OK. Do you know someone else that rides an ebike? Can you get someone else(non shop dude) to try yours? Does the battery voltage decline after a long ride? Can you hear it trying something? What speeds are you riding? I am not sure what the speed limit is on the bike. Maybe...

Electric propulsion: anybody else plugging in their cars? mowers?

we have battery mower., black and Decker. It is so much better than a gas mower! The fact that there is a switch rather than a starter cord to pull seals the deal. The thing that surprised me: It must have a strain gauge. When you are fully powered up and go over say a sidewalk, it idles down...
