    Lectric XP

Does that work stand allow for the rear of the bike to be elevated? It looks to me like there is too much much weight in the rear end to allow for that...so really that only works if all you are doing is working on the front end.

    Dead after 13 miles

That makes a lot of sense and could explain why the charger and computer were showing a full charge (but several cells were NOT actually charged). Either way, I want a new battery replacement.

    Dead after 13 miles

Update #2...Jeff, I determined it was the battery even though the display said 10 bars and 48v when it died. I charged the battery full again to 54.9v and everything worked fine again for a while...BUT its obvious the new battery should go more than 13 miles (in my case) on level ground only...

    Dead after 13 miles

Update#1...The display powered up this morning briefly and the battery indicator was at 10 bars. Voltage reading was 49.7v. The battery readouts look normal. I then set to PAS 1, raised the rear wheel and turned the throttle. It ran for about 5 seconds and then everything went dead again. It...

    Dead after 13 miles

No damage out of the box...everything perfect. Nothing loose or damaged. I charged the battery (just took it out of the box 2 days ago). The bike was working fine, then yesterday the bike just shut down while driving. Luckily I was near my house and could pedal back. I checked the cables, took...

Speed in pas 1/2 and other questions

I think with this ebike (and most other low cost eBikes), the ON/OFF feeling is more about the controller than the cadence sensor. Low cost eBikes use a "square wave" controller to cut down on cost. The more expensive eBikes use a "sign wave" controller which is more gradual or smooth in terms...

    New chain question

I have watched tons of videos regarding chain maintenance and its crazy how many options and lubes people use...but my question is about the new chain that comes on the bike. Does it have a factory lube on it? I ask that because all the chain manufacturers say "don't remove the factory lube"...

    Standard Tools

There have been many videos posted on YouTube regarding Lectric XP bikes....and they are reporting loose bolts, pedals falling off or stripped threads after a few miles, flopping fenders, etc. So as nice as it would be to have a "properly torqued" assembly (after waiting a month or 2 for the...

    My Tricked out XP

Just about every video I've seen on this bike (and there are hundreds)...NOBODY just spends $899 and calls it a day. NOBODY. They add on more on options, upgrades, and just about anything you can imagine...then they all turn around and say...the best bike under $1000 on the market. You just...

    Shipping Lectric XP

It should be obvious by now that the date you get notified from Lectric that a FedEx# has been generated...has no correlation as to when FedEx actually picks up the bike, nor when you will get the bike. The FedEx tracking system is no indicator either because it's not up to date. Bottom...

"Lectric XP Step" - New ebike announcement

This makes no sense unless they seriously upgrade things the current XP lacks...like a cassette (vs old school freewheel), better seat, LARGER battery, commuter style handlebar option, more street friendly tires, and MOST of all...start using their own money and get a stockpile of these so that...

    Shipping Lectric XP

My order was 136xx...and not a word. I say was...because the "pound salt" email is headed their way. Like a few others have said before and I concur...when it comes to shipping, I too have had enough of Lectric. They obviously don't treat their customers the same UNLESS you whine like a baby and...

Mine is #136xx...and have heard nothing. Do they pull OD# out of a hat?

    Samebike? Discuss the differences.

There are few exceptions like NCM (German) that design and manufacture their own hub motors (DAS-BOOT), frames, wheels, etc. They are very popular in Europe and USA is catching on. It seems everything in the eBike market is Chinese or Japanese made, but if you look around, they aren't the only...

What is your favorite PAS/Gear combination?

With so many Lectric XP owners out there, it would be interesting to know which PAS/Gear combinations you would use the most if you could only choose two or three.

    Suspension fork differences

Its been my experience that a solid fork is better than a cheapo suspension fork (as they bounce too much and fall apart after a few months or weeks depending on your riding). Ever ride in a car with broken or worn shocks..?...yeah, not fun. Beware of buying low end units. That is why Lectric...

    Shipping Lectric XP

The irony is that by the time you add tax and all the upgrades you are likely to buy for the XP, you are closer to $1150, not the $899 they advertise. I think so many people look at that $899 and say, wow...but after all is said and done...maybe buying the Ford instead of the Mercury ain't...

    Shipping Lectric XP

From another thread, the poster said that Lectric wrote him back that the bikes no longer come with a bell. Wonderful...now you can add another "upgrade/option" that the buyer has to buy on their own. These Lectric guys are genius....Don't spend any of your own money manufacturing new bikes...

Lectric Bikes - The story of how two guys built a $13M company in a year

IF that story is remotely accurate, then let's hope that these guys start to stock pile bikes in Arizona for quick shipping. Yes, new start-ups have no cash for inventory, we get that. That was 2019. But Lectric can no longer be labeled as a start-up. With that kind of success and cash on hand...

    Shipping Lectric XP

These guys better get a handle on this shipping problem. Sounds more and more like an internal problem, not a UPS problem. Maybe they got too big too fast. There is a remedy for that...in June and July, most of their competitors will be fully supplied again and then there will be more choices...
