Help with recommendation - mid vs hub, etc.

I personally don’t think you need more than 750w. On my 700, 80% plus of my riding is with motor pumping out about 300w of power. I don’t ever feel the need for more. It makes biking super leisurely and you feel like bike is just cruising. On a rare occasion I may go Upto higher assist and use...

Help with recommendation - mid vs hub, etc.

Given your use case, huh drive sounds fine. This board will def steer you towards mid-drive. Mid-drive has its advantages but it’s not a slam dunk winner in all cases. So for hub drive look at 1. Ride1up 700 or limited - I have 700 and I like it a lot. If limited was in stock I would have...

@Bikeman @GenXrider what voltage settings are you using?

Frey CC vs Frey AM1000 vs Frey EX Pro?

What delivery date did they give you? Did you customize cc? I’d stick with cc personally.

New 700 Series ST has "massive" vibration between 14-17 mph and then goes away

Well it is unlikely to be anything exterior. I got the bike only this week and had a trusted LBS build it. Also the issue happens only when the motor is kicking on and trying to thrust the bike to speed (roughly between 10-18 mph) and disappears once the bike is above 18 mph or so. So I am 99%...

    Early review of 700

Lol. Having played around with the bike, I can probably guess. I have had a couple of small incidents myself where the bike just lunged forward after I had dismounted and was just standing by and talking to someone.

    Early review of 700

So you downshift to 0 when you need to stop and you want to make sure it doesn’t accidentally surges forward? That’s a good tip.

    Looking for a little advise.

I just posted a review on this in Ride1up forum.

    Early review of 700

Hi I wanted to share week 1/ 100 mile review of my 700 bike. Background: 1. Have previously owned a Dualtron electric scooter and liked the flexibility/ mobility it gave me to get around NYC 2. But wanted to get an electric bike as I liked the comfort of a bike (bigger tires, sitting position...

Where’s my bike ? Why haven’t you shipped yet ?

Thanks for that clarification Pushkar. I have heard great things about Mattoc Comp as well in < $500 comparison tests. There is less info available on Suntour forks as most comparison tests seem to omit them.

Where’s my bike ? Why haven’t you shipped yet ?

@pushkar Really cool pics. I wanted to check a couple of things on suspension forks 1. A lot of the built bikes have red suspension fork. I couldn’t figure out which fork it was. 2. Matzochhi Bomber Z2 seems to do well In a lot of comparison tests for forks under $500. I was wondering if that’s...

Best hub motor ebike that’s not a Stromer

I came across Alation too. list right now is 1. Ride1up Ltd- not in stock 2. Biktrix Swift 3. Juiced Crosscurrent 4. Alation 5. NCM Moscow Plus None of these bikes though fully meet the criteria. If I were to use metaphor of cars, then I was looking for a BMW in a world where Stromer was a...

    Juiced Crosscurrent Suspension Fork Upgrade

Hey guys was wondering if anyone has upgraded their NCX suspension fork on juiced. If so, what fork did you select and what was your experience? option of forks in 700cc tire size doesn’t look to be very wide. BTW how much travel does stock fork have?

    Juiced Crosscurrent X

☝️ is what I think is sorely lacking. I find a lot of people are chasing mid-drives without truly knowing the pros and cons. I wish there was a premium hub motor drive bike that’s not a Stromer.

Best hub motor ebike that’s not a Stromer

even if I want to spend more money, I haven’t come across an option. There are a few more options in the EU market (Eg Klever). I like the thoughtfulness of Zen Shakti a lot but In best case scenario that bike will be available later this year. Meanwhile Juiced CC and Ride1up lmtd seem to be...

Best hub motor ebike that’s not a Stromer

I should have mentioned that Class 3 is a must. Seems Sondors is capped out at 20 mph.

Best hub motor ebike that’s not a Stromer

Hey guys After having driven probably 30+ electric bikes from many many manufacturers I have come to a conclusion (let’s call it personal conclusions so that I don’t stir the pot) that both hub drive and mid-drive motors have their place and each is a better fit for certain use cases. Given...
