Getting What You Need From a Cycling GPS

Subscribed. I'm still, technology-wise, stuck somewhere in the 1980's. Think Rand McNally folding state maps. At least they are waterproof with a nice, clear plastic coating. But after doing what ended up being a 95 mile bike ride, using just 2 500wh batteries, my getting lost in the blueberry...

Radcity 2020 Hub motor cracking sound

Good advice by Al and Joe. The recommended tire pressures could be found on the sidewall of the tire. Use a hand held tire guage to ensure an accurate tire pressure is reached. Often, those guages on floor air pumps leave a lot of accuracy to the imagination. Let us know the outcome!

problem with brand new CREO SL COMP E5 2021 charger flashing red , not charging

I'd not worry about the battery. My Haibike was a model year 2016 and I bought it at a steep discount in March, 2017. Since the battery was in it's deep sleep mode (like I suspect yours is, too); it was just a matter of charging the battery to awaken it. No problems at all, to this very day with...

    Thorn resistant 26" Schrader tubes?

I recall some people talking about Flat Out freezing in their tubes.... They can claim away all they want, but there is no product out there that is going to physically close a 1/2" diameter hole in a thin wall latex rubber tube and maintain it's integrity while the tire rotates & deforms to...

    Thorn resistant 26" Schrader tubes?

@psychoanalyst : This, I can tell you: On my Haibike Full FatSix and in thousands of miles of riding, with so many flats, I can't tell you the number, this I found: Mr Tuffy Liners will pass a thorn if long enough to hit the tube....it will. Tannus Armour will pass a thorn if long enough to hit...

    Help me decide

Ah yes, Rome.......Devid Sam & Alicia Margaret of Magicycle, another fine, fine, off shore product. 🤣 I always wondered if Devid spelled his name wrong (David)? Apologies to the OP. You have to be careful about on-line solicitations to buy a product from questionable sellers such as...

    Help me decide

Done. For too long, spammers like this have been given full reign on this site. Think off shore marketers like Aostirmotor (they also do the same act over on Bike Forums) and of course, our old "friend", Nick Slinker, hawking his "Latest "American" lol electric bicycle brand (Slinker) For The...

    Cube vs Haibike

As a United States based Haibike owner, I know which one I would take: the bike made by the company that pretty much invented the e-mountain bike game. My 2016 model year Full FatSix is as good today as it was when I took it out of it's shipping box in March, 2017. Yamaha PW drive on mine. Now...

    Long distance riding

Outstanding ride report!! :) Staying hydrated is a big deal going beyond the 30 mile mark of any ride, especially so in summer heat. I've often thought about packing along my water filter in order to take advantage of nearby streams or rivers I might be riding alongside of on any of my extended...

Our Rides in Words, Photos & Videos

@Chargeride: Thanks! I think you are spot-on about ride style destroying the freehub pawls. Sounds like he might be hammering his H-Bike using a high gear on the cassette at a slow rate of speed, which really stresses out the entire drive train. Myself, I'm a spinner; constantly shifting to...

Our Rides in Words, Photos & Videos

Sunday morning's ride was from Homebase, eastbound to a small town called Pemberton, in New Jersey. Not far into the ride, I clicked over the odometer to 18,000 total miles since putting the Haibike FullFatSix into service, April 2017. Burlington County, NJ was once the largest agricultural...

Best trunk rack for MIK racks

I like what I see of the MIK rack system. It reminds me of my older Ortlieb rack mounted carrying case, which has been gone from the Ortlieb catalog for several years.

    Hydraulic brakes help please

It's been a couple seasons since I did my Magura MT-5's, but hydraulics is hydraulics regardless of name brand.......I found what worked for me was to use the Magura brake bleed kit syringe, attach it at the caliper bleed point (filled with brake fluid) AND a similar syringe (filled with brake...

Too Many Posters Asking Others To Do Web Searches For Them

Amen, @Alaskan ! Even to this day, I'll refer back to Court's review of the Haibike Full FatSix and his excellent breakdown of components with who manufactured it and the model number. That's important to me for when it comes time to replace that component due to wear or breakage. That's alot...

    Priority Current battery/motor issue.

@Unico57 - That's great to hear. Also: very nice to read of a bike company that is super proactive in helping their customers. For far too often, there are stories on this site of ebike owners who don't recieve great service after the sale!

    I paid $4700 for a 65lb paperweight.

@MichelleJae: What is the latest update on your Giant? I know by everything you've described that you have been way beyond patient waiting for your LBS and Giant to come to an agreement in getting you back on the road again. I've no clue as to what WebLink is, but it sounds like a middleman...

    Raleigh motus

It's the way of all bike manufacturers, not just Raleigh. 2 years after buying my Fatboy, I contacted Specialized asking for some frame decals as I was doing a paint job on the front fork. They were of no help to me. Even people with the high end bikes like R&M may find small parts hard to find...

    Raleigh motus

Can you not adapt a similar stay support from a local bike shop or on-line bike parts supplier? There are equal and even better fenders, mudguards and repair parts already on the market.

    Have you seen a ghost

Sorry to disappoint, friends, no movie. Kinda wondering what the heck @ChezCheese:) was referring to, there. Not much on movies anymore, although I have a great fondness for those Hammers films. No, my time on Great Duck was very real. Quite enjoyed it, too. Except for those occasional...

    Have you seen a ghost

40 years ago now; I was asleep in my bedroom when I awokened to a silent figure in white at the foot of my bed. Being that I am blind without my glasses I could not make out any facial figures. To my blind-as-a-bat eyes, it was a person glowing white. I am a sober, sane, rational person. I...
