    Happy wife, Happy Life!

I have a custom stainless steel bike. Looks terrific with contrasting areas of matte and shiny steel with logo and tubing alternating that affect. Rides like a solid steel girder. No flex, no absorption. I got it as a replacement for a regular wonderful riding custom "regular" steel tubing...

    Question on 'dropped chain'?

I really don't think a chain should pop off merely rolling the bike backwards or even back pedaling. I think a shop should take a look at it and check chain length and alignments.

help me with my Turbo Vado "buyer's remorse"

Have you ridden the Creo? If you can find one to rent for a day or a week, I'd suggest going that route and see if the Creo's geometry meets your needs. Every road bike is slightly different and it might not match what you have in your other models. At my age and with my neck I am rarely...

Mission Control suddenly has NO Elevation Gain data

The last three rides, MC shows no elevation gain data and the export is also missing that info. Ideas?

    Mission Control and Garmin RTL515

I did find after posting (reading the manual!) that pressing the POWER button for ten or so seconds does reboot without losing any data. Yes, I got the light blinking (somewhat drives a friend crazy but she's halfway there already!) but with no Edge, no radar. And now that I think about it...

    Mission Control and Garmin RTL515

I don't know what happened but Friday I went out for my 15 mile loop and a block from the house the Garmin 1030+ was DARK. It is paired with the Varia radar light. I stopped. Tried powering it back on. NOPE. Got off the bike and played with the Varia. NOPE. Pressed both buttons on the...

    First Five Rides + a Fall - Turbo Turbo Tero 6.0 X

A rut can easily grab a tire and not let go. Actually, not that different from dealing with railroad tracks. You can to cross at a reasonable angle or else your tire/wheel will get trapped and down you will go. Same for seams in the road or between the road and shoulder. Even yesterday...

    Mission Control and Garmin RTL515

I was just going to start a search but thought I'd be lazy and ask. Obviously, you have an iphone but I was wondering if there are apps, ANDROID in my case, that overlay Varia on maps or apps or what-have-you. I have it paired to my Garmin Edge 1030+ but I'd be curious about other options (and...

2023 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

And the weekend ride to and through Smith Cove Park, Discovery Park and Myrtle Edwards Park. The aerial view is courtesy of Grey's Anatomy (hey, I saw the opening with that view and grabbed it with my phone and then put in the route, more or less) that shows some of my route through Myrtle...

    Happy wife, Happy Life!

Ah, the ol' reversed crank issue. In my case it was the local shop. I don't recall the original work but I picked up my bike and went for a ride. I have SPD pedals. Hmm. I'm having trouble getting into the clipless pedals. I'm having more trouble getting out. I really have to twist with...

Do I have my Range Extender installed correctly?

Just to add that mine is as you show it. Too much slack and you might possibly snag the cable on your bike shoe. I do occasionally have a bit of an issue turning the "locking" mechanism and re-seat the plug to secure it.

    2022 Creo Axle Torque

I will have to look it over and see how the hip bone is connected to the leg bone!

    2022 Creo Axle Torque

I believe that I wrote about this in another thread. But I got a flat (rear, of course, although it probably does not matter) and could not loose the faux quick release lever on my Creo. It was so damn tight. I tried pounding it with my bike shoe. I was in a marina and finally I found...
