ABUS frame locks for Vado/Como have arrived (and they fit/work!)

Key removal model. I did not want to worry that while stopped briefly someone could engage the lock and leave with the key. I added a stretchy lanyard and have a snap hook inside a burrito handlebar bag where it resides. I also have another stretchy band that I place over the hoods on my Creo...

I literally dragged my body to the pass yesterday. Boy am I out of shape. I've actually climbed Sahale and been up Sahale Arm three or four times - an endless climbing meadow with little rills and flowers and marmots that stops at the glacier. And a toilet with a view to end all views!

Yup, just me and my friend and about 10 million others, both day hikers and backpackers. For those who bike ride gravel roads, this is one rather intense 20 or so miles of gravel but you would not want to bike it - the dust would fill your lungs as the 5 million cars and pickup truck pass. And...

Specialized Mission Control App Details & Settings

MC seems to take longer to save the ride than before the update. I also get "trying to get location" merely trying to view rides. The phone knows exactly where I am!

Specialized Creo (all models) - Longest Rides/Biggest Climbs

80+ which I think is pretty firm. I'm sure most of it is my weight and loaded bike weight.

Response from Specialized re- Ride App Functionality

I've also had pretty good replies to Ride Care inquiries. Just about two weeks ago, I asked about the battery in the TCU (top tube display) and received a reply in one or two days. I've also had spare parts shipped to me - those little rubber stoppers that fit the Creo's kickstand screw holes.

Would you know the history of those areas. That is were most of these open fields, forests way back when or always a mixture of groupings of trees and open meadows?

Specialized Creo (all models) - Longest Rides/Biggest Climbs

I'm on the aluminum Creo, carry too much weight in the rear pannier and too much personal weight. My age might also contribute to the slowdown. I seem to about average 2% per mile on our moderate terrain. (I don't do any precise calculations but eyeball the values at the end of each ride)...

The one I flew along side Ben Franklin was a very simple affair. Just kind of diamond shaped with a key dangling from it!

It is the underwater light bulbs that need periodic replacement that is the challenge! We have a few lakes of that color but not that size nor that setting. Most are cirque bound.

Today with a predicted high in the mid-80's, I left the house at about 7:40 and was home about two hours later and it was already 81F. Did my usual loop of approx 16 miles and 700 feet. Tide was slightly out and Leif was his stoic Nordic self. Dogs have their own part of the signage. I...

Panniers for Turbo Vado SL EQ 5.0

No, as my pictures show - it is a third party rack. I was just trying to show how it attaches and give some dimensions. I guess I would hope that folks can purchase whatever panniers they want to try from a place that accepts returns. That way that can try them to see if they would work in...

Panniers for Turbo Vado SL EQ 5.0

The pannier does not clip to the bottom but rather has an adjustable arm on a swinging pivot that engages the rack's rear "vertical" strut. The pannier is about 10 inches from to back and when folded/rolled to be level with the top of the rack, about 14 inches.
