Hi John, The front ring is 55T, and the rear cog is 22 T. If needed we can change the rear cog to 20T. The 22T will last a bit more than 20T because of the larger surface area associated with more cogs.

Thanks for your kind words. We have been working hard to support the North American rider community. I am glad our efforts caught your eye. The user can configure the system to US spec, but the liability is on the end user, and we ship it configured according to Canadian laws.

@FiremarshallDave , as mentioned here, to reach 28mph requires active pedaling. We want our customers to enjoy pedaling / some workout and don't intend to design bikes meant for throttle use only. We use 2.4" tires on most of our bikes.
