Is it safe to freely use the throttle WHILE PEDALING on a mid drive?

As you say, prove it. How could you possibly know that? For me, not using Strava is a matter of not wanting all of my personal information spread around to everyone on the planet, let alone to the people at Strava. I get that that's appealing to some people, and that's fine for them If...

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

+1 on Advanced Elements inflatables. I've had a couple and they fill my bill. You shouldn't leave them fully-inflated in the sun, so they aren't ready to go on a short-term whim. TT

Why did the Frenchman explode dynamite in his kitchen? . .. . . . . . . He wanted to see linoleum blown apart. TT

Thinking about this at the end of September

Looks interesting. The Netherlands looks good. I looked at Scotland too, which I might prefer for a first trip. Probably all of the countries would be great. I'll be taking a closer look. Without really digging it to be sure, the Scotland site doesn't mention the availability of ebikes...

New pads are going to squeal. Let them break in for at least a couple of weeks. Or keep trying random stuff. TT

    Thoughts on Beach Riding?

Getting out of bed in the morning is risky. Most people still do it, but as you say, to each his own. Dueces, bro.

    Thoughts on Beach Riding?

I should say this: I have 4" tires and even at 5 psi, the loose sand above the high tide line can suck you right in. The packed, damp sand closer to, but not in the water, is great for riding on, but probably not with narrow tires. As for salt and grit, see above regarding rinsing. A battery...

    Thoughts on Beach Riding?

I've ridden my bike and my truck on a lot of beaches and I haven't had any problems. Regarding rust and abrasion, there's a big difference between spending a few days on the beach and living there for years. Even so, people do live there and enjoy their bikes and autos. Taking a bike to the...

    Thoughts on Beach Riding?

I love Cape San Blas. I haven't been since the hurricane, but it's a great place to ride an ebike. I rode on the beach from the park campground all the way to the Point, and on to the riprap on the south end of the peninsula, then took the people ferry on to St. Vincent Island, and rode the...

    Brake Issues

All good adivice so far, but on a brand new bike like yours, take it back in to the dealer and let them figure out what the issue is, and get them to explain it to you. There's not a lot about brakes you shouldn't be able to work on yourself, but let your dealer do it this time. TT

    Brake Issues

Probably just normal break-in, but take it back into the dealer if there's any doubt. TT

    Forums down?

Okay, I know all about thread drift, but why do you feel it's appropriate or necessary to bring this up here and in the Just for Fun thread? You may know something about the guy from Belarus that I don't, but the guy denies having any political feelings or affiliations. Just because he's from...

    Tire pressure question

That is theoretically mostly true and it may be something to consider overall, but, within limits, many people won't notice. If peak efficiency is the goal and you don't mind a hard ride, go with max tire pressure. If you want a softer ride, let some air out. TT

    Tire pressure question

Everything said here is good. Yes, lower the pressure and give it a try. Maybe try 25 psi, see how that works and go up or down from there if necessary. Watch your tread wear patterns and adjust accordingly, if you want. The tires will last a long time regardless. TT

I'm curious to know about this too. The AWS thing seemed to happen right about the same time, for sure. TT
