    Can't find Battery

Being 36V you could use 36 or 40v powertool battery. Aliexpress has holders for some batteries so can access power terminals. Probably only worth considering if have or want a 36v powertool. Alternatively a couple 18v in series. Put batteries in bag on frame or handle bar.

    Moustache Xroad 2 2020 low step 625Wh

Xroad 3 should have 10spd 11-42t cassette. Cone bearings still good our 2 bikes after 11000kms. I made a point of servicing them early on as quite often dry and not setup correctly exfactory.

    Bikepacking with an E-Bike

Bet you never imagined speeding 5 figures on bike before. I struggled with first ebike at $3500 but had no problems with $7000 for last ebike, been a couple in middle at $5000-6000.

Pulled the trigger on the Kona El Kahuna yesterday!

That is excellent deal if it had been coil fork and 9spd but given its comes with better airfork and 10spd its a steal. They are also cheap in NZ, about 1/2 price of my bike which has similar specs.

10 mile commute. E-bike or standard Bike?

I'd add lights and rack (for waterproof panniers) to list of features. Level 3 (25mph) bike would be nice but not essential for your commute. A 400wh battery should handle 20mile trip even on turbo. Given small hills 50nm bike would be OK but 60-70nm nice to have if your budget allows. If you...

    Bikepacking with an E-Bike

R&M multicharger is also worth considering as its designed to handle 60kg of cargo. I'd get single 625wh battery version and carry spare in pannier. Also checkout other longtail cargo ebikes, Cube has new one with descent tires. The long tails typical have centre kickstand that makes loading...

    Bikepacking with an E-Bike

The old 500wh powerpacks were lot easy to carry as spare. I can just fit a 625wh in 22l pannier. NB lot bikes which use shorter powertube 400 &500wh are quite often sized to take 625wh. They fit a spacer to shorter batteries. I'm planning 200km ride and decided to take a trailer as I'm also...

    Bikepacking with an E-Bike

Koga do customer touring ebikes with bosch cx 85nm and 750wh battery, 180kg max weight. You can spec build and leave stuff out you may already have or can borrow from existing bikes. Worth checking other touring bike manufacturers With 750wh battery budget on 100km range.

Given you are building eMotorbike, best place to start is motorbike drive trains.

    Traveling in really wet weather

I doubt ebike seals aren't design for 60-70mph rain which is case when on back of vehicle. There are neoprane covers available for middrive motors. Complete road cover is best thing but need to find one sturdy enough. Recreational Vehicle sites are probably best place to try. Do your research...

Bosch, Shimano or Bafang motor on etrike?

Any of motors will make light work of pedalling. I'd concentrate more on bike that fits you best not brand of motor. These are complex bikes so LBS support is very important.

Looking for the perfect e-bike (if that exists)… for me!

I run JWs and spend lot of time on asphalt with occasional offroad where they come into their own. Slightly noisier than Big Ben but nothing you would notice over usual wind and traffic noise. With motor extra rolling resustance doesn't matter

    Ultimate T10+ Second Wheel Set

I bought a set of shimano wheels to use on road for my eMTB. Not as robust as factory cube wheels which I use for MTBing but not given me any issues. Not even a broken spoke and bike spents lot of time in turbo mode thanks to dongle.

    Do I need cycling shoes?

My MTB shoes do give more support and grip plus a lot are splash proof which I find useful when commuting in light rain. Will also give more protection in crash.

    Aventon Level Tire Pressure

Managed to run commuter tubeless on its standards tires, lot work to get them to set. Pain if changing tires, I ended up going back to tubes in end. Still run MTB's tires as tubeless but that is different application.
