got these for our Allant+8S bikes since i liked them so much on the Powerfly. Bontrager LT4 Expert. Really good in sandy soil and quiet on road. the standard Allant+8S tire is almost a slick.

imho, also, these Allants are so powerful and have large enough batteries that a more all-around tire makes a lot of sense for me. i like being able to get off the pavement when i want and have the added traction. your bike has the 500 wH battery, so should be good for very long rides. i give up...

i think flat incidents are closely related to environment, trash, construction, cactus, etc. we live in a clean area where the paved bike paths are well maintained and the people care. we got our flats in a town that wasn't so nice, partly from lack of care but also from construction.

this is why i carry a spare tube, small pump, and tiny little plastic tire irons. oh, plus you have to have a wrench or two to remove the axles. kinda makes me question if tubeless is "better." at 52-54 pounds for my e-bike, a few grams on a tube is kinda ridiculous. i could lose ten pounds...

i think i covered a lot of the salient points in this thread. i have been out of town on business for three weeks and unable to ride the Powerfly. i did order and receive studded tires. Schwalbe Ice Spikers which i need to install. once i do that i will update how that seems to work. dropper...

yeah, this is why i wanted the larger 625 WH batteries on my Treks. did not want to fuss with range extenders ...

Stefan, I the the EMTN mode is also contributing to the better experience of the XT because it reduces the need to shift by a lot since you have access to full power for steeper hills without having to change gears of increase the assist level. Tim

OP's 2022 Turbo Como is a 710 WH battery. Turbo bikes are the 4 times power bikes. Only the SL models (2 times power bikes) have the option to add a second battery (range extender) in the shape of a water bottle. AFAIIK. Tim
