    Dual Leg Kickstand

UPDATE: Well some said yes and others (Pedego) said no but after sufficient due diligence I took a leap of faith and bought the Ursus Jumbo 80 for the Interceptor. The Ursus comes with a silver steel plate which fits on the top should you be installing the stand behind the bottom bracket in...

    Dual Leg Kickstand

My wife has an Interceptor and has just started towing a trailer for the puppy. The OEM kickstand in this application isn't cutting it and the bike can fall over. A solution to this is the dual leg kickstand so I'm curious if anyone uses one on their Pedego or has some experience with them...

    Thule Easy Fold XT

No problem it's a good idea to ensure that the proper method is being used first but yes I am doing it the right way, I've been putting our bikes on the rack for 18 months. It used to work just fine but not now, I did chat to another owner on a local trail who was experiencing the same problem...

    Thule Easy Fold XT

My main gripe with the XT2 is that recently the longer arm is almost impossible to remove from the bar it clamps onto. I used to be able to just pull on it which exposed the clamping mechanism and allowed it's removal and replacement but now I have to use a hammer and a piece of wood to bang on...

Widespread Giant motor creaking problem - time for a recall?

When my 'motor area' creaked it needed the factory shims. The problem presented in the cranks being loose which was a result of the motor mounting bolts. Giant acknowledged it was indeed the motor mounting bolts.

    Interceptor - No Power!

That was the exact thing I asked the tech, "where was the kink in the line that was causing the short". Unfortunately bike techs are like automotive 'mechanics' these days whereas they dont fix the problem part they just remove and replace with a new part. To be clear, the young tech was...

    Interceptor - No Power!

Bike repaired. The tech said that if the display was left on long enough after this problem presented itself the error code E10 would become visible which is the wiring harness. He replaced the harness and it's back to normal. Covered under warranty - Battery and all of it's...

    Interceptor - No Power!

I think you nailed it with the observation that the display IS on just now throttle not pedal assist. I just got back from the shop and the tech did say the connections on the battery did need to be bent for more secure connection. he asked to see if that fixes the problem and if not schedule...

    Interceptor - No Power!

Thanks for the tip, I sprayed the male and female contacts and voila power! The shop did confirm that Battery and it's components mean everything electrical when it comes to the 24 month warranty so I will drop it in for a once over.

    Interceptor - No Power!

Pedego Interceptor 18 months old. Display works fine and battery shows charged at the back however no power to the drive, no assist nor throttle. I followed the power cable, covered in the protective coil, from the display and throttle to it's first connection by the steering tube and it was...

Widespread Giant motor creaking problem - time for a recall?

Well honestly I felt nothing as I hadn't noticed any symptoms and it's not something I would check during any minor maintenance like chain/drive train cleaning. I will now hahaha.... I've put >4K kms on the bike now which, as I've read, is likely time for a new chain. It had life left in it...

Widespread Giant motor creaking problem - time for a recall?

I just took my 2018 Dirt E+2 into the LBS, on Vancouver Island, to have the chain replaced. The tech reported that there was play in the motor likely due to wear on the bolts. The play can be felt when you jiggle the crank back and forth. They contacted Giant and expect to receive motor shims...

    Replacement Chain for Interceptor

Has anyone replaced their chain? I can't find anything specific so I assume it'll just be a KMC or Shimano etc.... Thanks!

    Replacement Chain

My 2018 Dirt E is getting to the point where the chain needs to be replaced. The specs says that the OEM chain is a KMC x.10e eBike optimized. Now from what I can see the eBike optimized chains are around $80 (Cdn) whereas the same conventional chain (Shimano for example) is anywhere from...

Wound up the RV season a couple of weeks ago with a trip down to Astoria Oregon, Long Beach WA and Sequim WA. The E-bikes were well used going for great rides on the Astoria RiverWalk trail, the Discovery Trail in Long Beach and a short portion of the Olympic Discovery Trail around Sequim.

    Anyone Towing a (Pet) Trailer

Towing a trailer for pets or kids on a traditional bike is fairly common however I haven't seen much information for doing this on an E bike. I've searched the Pedego forum without any success. At this point I'm limiting the search to Pedego as the plan is to do this with an Interceptor with...

Found a way to work around the Speed limiter . Anyone know if this can damage my motor or battery?

Care to share how you accomplished this and if the information on your display, if you have one, like speed, distance etc remains accurate? :)
