    Giant LaFree E +1 question

I thought this was going to be an issue for me. I have the Lafree E+2. Honestly, I love not having the attached display for the theft reasons and stealthy regular bike look. Try it out for a while and see if it bothers you. That's what I did and now I'm glad I left well alone. Also the app...

Yes, I own the Lafree E+2 it's $2000 ….. it's AMAZING!!! It has everything and it would be perfect for you and your wife. It's perfect for rail trails and pavement. It's got nice chunky tires, fenders, long battery range, takes the hills like a boss, it's completely silent, it knows how much...

    Sad about last two rides.....

LOL...I'm way more concerned about the vicious dogs than the speed pedalers. I had a dream my hubby got a giant tattoo on the back of his leg that said "CHEWY"

    Sad about last two rides.....

You are correct pedestrians do have the right of way which is why I slowed to my almost stop. I would have stopped if need be.....but that guy was a turd. He yelled at me for obeying South Dakota law which states I am to inform him of my presence by telling him "On your left" Most people...

Giant Lafree E+2 and E+1 I have owned both models!!!!

I agree you get so much more for the price. I love my Lafree. I get service, warranty, power, long battery, reliability, and the bike is very adjustable. It has fenders and a nice bike rack. I love the wide tires. Everyone always talks about a throttle but honestly as soon as I press on the...

    Noseless saddle?

I agree with Ravi....a Brooks saddle maybe a B67? They are spendy but they are a lifetime investment. I currently have one in my Amazon cart as backup if the saddle I recently purchased decides to hurt my backside. I bought a Selle Royale Respiro Moderate $40. I really like it so far which...

    Sad about last two rides.....

I may give that a try next time.... But honestly in the situation I was in I would just throw the treats on the ground and pedal by as swiftly and possible. The dog was the scariest dog I've ever seen and the lady was literally on the ground being dragged. She knew it was coming too.... She saw...

    Sad about last two rides.....

Thank you, I doubt very much the lady learned anything judging by her comment as I narrowly escaped. I gave her plenty of time to secure her dogs which is very sad she was unable to do so. I pray she learned because I can only imagine the consequences of a child riding by or the mailman. I...

    Sad about last two rides.....

Thanks Harry. I thought that lady was mean bringing her dogs out on the bike trail. It was clear her dogs were very unhappy to be there. Why do that to your dogs? Her giant black lab was clearly upset of any persons presence on that trail. How can that be good for your dog? As for the...

    Sad about last two rides.....

LOL....it was a couple rough days for sure. I have to say I'm a little salty about my fellow man. Ha .... I'll get over it. I'm middle aged I have half my life left to deal with humanity.

    Sad about last two rides.....

Lets start out by my ride last evening. I was riding my bike on a beautiful evening. I came around a corner and in the distance I see a woman with two dogs on a leash. I can see she is pulling her dogs to her side and sitting them down. I am going slow so she has time to do whatever it is...

When you want to haul with your van

LOL.... if you think it's hard to find a reasonably priced bike rack for inside a van try finding a reasonably priced hitch mount ebike rack. I found one on Amazon it set me back $250. I really like it though but there really isn't a lot of options for heavy bikes.

    At What Price .......?

I love my Lafree E+2.... It's magical. How does it know exactly what you need when you need it? I rode tonight in 22mph hour winds no problem. Congrats on the ebikes. I wish my hubby had my bike....then he could keep up with me. I spend a lot of time waiting for him to catch up. He loves...

    Low Step Bike Choices

The Verve is a perfectly good bike. The components are just fine in the price point. The Lafree E+1 is a belt drive it's a much higher end component and no gears. Either bike would suit you well. My Lafree E+2 has 8 gears and it's entry level but it does just fine. It saved me $400 but many...

    Low Step Bike Choices

The Electra Townie is going to have a more relaxed pedal ride because you sit back and feet forward when pedaling. This is great if you aren't looking for a lot of exercise and just a relaxed ride. Might not be the best if you plan on traveling more than 20 miles per ride. It will also give...
