I am loving my Vado 4.0. It seems perfect to me.
If i wanted to spend less, I would have given the Level a hard look. Seems impressive for the $$
The Allant was nice too but was priced too high compared to what I could buy the Vado for at the time.
The Vado 3 and 4 are fairly different bikes...
I have determined that I would prefer a 48t chain ring vs the 40t on my Vado. I asked my LBS to give me a price. Since the Como has a 48t I thought that This would be easy. His response got me very confused. This is what he emailed:
The largest available third party ring is 38T; your 40T is a...
Another proof point that not everyone wants Crimson! ;)
I am enjoying the fun color-shaming banter on here, I do want to make it clear that although I prefer the Dove Gray, the Crimson is a very sharp looking bike...as is the Carbon. No bad choices here. Unless of course you didn’t get Dove Gray. 🤩
It would be interesting to see a sales graph of eBikes in the US over the past few years to see how sales have evolved. My guess is a gradual/moderate-but-still-impressive uphill curve until March of this year and then a spike under COVID.
Yes. Clearly no one wants to buy Crimson if they have some left! And- wait- what color did he say they DID NOT have...likely because they were the first to sell out. Hmm...let me think...which one could it be... 😂
Your bike is a great deal for someone. I saw you posting a few months ago when I was first looking for a bike. I wanted to make you an offer but determined that I needed the 20" vs the 22" frame. I was bummed. Really liked your bike.
I looked at ST1x, Allant and Vado. Bought the Vado....hands down easy decision. VERY happy with it. Smooth, solid, comfortable, wicked fast, good LBS support, great looking, etc.
Are their any Como's let anywhere? While I prefer the Vado, I would have done the Como if there were no more Vado's to be had....I'd take that over any other comparable option from another mfg.
Yeah....inventory is stupid low right now. I don't understand why they did the big rebate thing in March/April that decimated their inventory when they weren't going to replenish for many months. Seems odd. Seems like they gave up $1000 in profit on countless units for no reason. Granted they...
