    Damned eBay! Now what?

I buy on eBay all the time, don't sell there though, I use CL for sales. I use PayPal for incoming payments and purchases but only link a Credit Card with their service, not a bank account. I won't link a bank account with any company, just to risky. Since I don't require much credit anymore...

Catalina Island, Avalon to Two Harbors

I'm planning a trip to Catalina Island sometime later this summer. I haven't been there since I was a lad. It reminded me of this.

Came back from a road trip...

For my motorcycles: For my E-bike: They have to see you, these types of colors really help. I noticed a large amount of cage drivers start to pull out in my path and then stop and do a double take, and then wait when they see me. My riding buddies say when they look in their mirrors they can...

Online Stores To Pretend Having A Product In Stock

As a dual citizen of the USA and UK (living in California), I was sad that Brexit was passed at the ballot box. To me, looking from a distance, it seemed that the slim majority really shot themselves in the foot. I have plans to visit England again at sometime and thought how cool EU travel...

So what's your other hobbies or interests?

Sometimes hand wood working tools, just feel right. When I need a plane for a project, even though I own a Makita power planer, I usually grab my bench, jack, or block plane. There's something very satisfying when you peel off long ribbons of wood with a sharp, properly adjusted plane.

So what's your other hobbies or interests?

Interesting story about my Powermatic lathe, I used it in high school, it was one of 4 lathes in the wood shop. I remained friends with the wood shop instructor after graduation, and when he retired, the school district quit the wood shop, in fact they stopped all of the industrial arts...

    Rad law suit

I had good parents, but at 14 or so, my mates and I did some asinine things in general, especially on bikes. I think back on the stuff i did and wonder how I survived mostly unscathed, and without a criminal record.

    REAL bargains

My cheap internet bike, 2 years now and no problems other than a couple of flat tires. I learned to watch where I ride now. I'm so naughty, after you said no complete bikes in your rules.

    Pre-/Post-Ride routine?

My rides are seldom planned, i kinda don't like schedules and commitment. When I decide to ride, I just grab my helmet, mobile phone, HT, and some water and i'm in the wind. I'm definitely a spur of the moment type. But I always give the bike a quick once over before I leave, tires, chain, etc.

    My 2 year report

Nope, a no name Amazon special. Just a collection of decent parts, Bafang motor, Sony cells in the battery, 4 amp charger, Shimano shifter bits, etc. I wanted all easily obtainable parts with none of the proprietary parts some bikes use, just in case. I broke a caliper on a rock and had a...

    My 2 year report

Well, I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since I bought my inexpensive ebike, sort of a test to see if I would use it much. Well, I'm still having a blast on it, and other than 2 punctured tubes, and a taller riser on the stem, it's needed nothing other than chain maintenance and brake...

E-Bikes are ubiquitous New York City

It all sounds pretty good to me. I like people and bustling cities, so other than the cold winters I think I'd fit right in.

Winter Is Coming - Biking in Cold Weather

It's spring around these parts, mid to high 60's F. I've been taking advantage of the great temps, and I have been getting in some nice rides. Some might think I'm crazy, but I can't wait for the SoCal summer temps, 100 F plus. I'm a native Ca. and I love the heat, but it's still pretty nice...

Helmet, lock and air pump for an e-bike novice

The best helmet is one that fits well and you wear, every time you ride. I have a Specialized in hi-viz yellow to maybe get noticed by the cages. Same color for my motorcycle helmet too. Locks are just a deterrent now, for a lazy thief, due to the cordless grinders and the like, watch where...

Best Rock Ever? Nominations, No Air Supply!

Pork pie? I used to eat them occasionally when I lived in England. I wouldn't eat them now, but I remember they were okay at the time.
