E-Bike for recovery. But which one?

I rode my first fat tire bike in Florida, Non e bike but my first fat bike ride. I loved it ! I thought all sorts of things about fat bikes before riding one. I tried it in the rain, on the sand on the boardwalk and on the roads. I came home and bought a mid drive fat bike. I am 58 and out of...

Mixed (conventional & e-Bikes) Group Road Rides

awesome article, I have learned not to go fast on the boardwalk . I keep up pace with other bikers and use a low level of assist. I am 58 so if i ride a nice pace it works for me and those around me. I did pass a car in our development that was going 17 mph. I live in a seniors development and...

Will ebikes really lead the EV revolution?

snarky or realistic? Th point was for America or anyone else it has to work. Because an e bike works for some means nothing to others. I for one like the idea of commuting to work on an e bike but it does not work for me . I travel 150 miles a day round trip . I have been trying to get a job...

Will ebikes really lead the EV revolution?

Do it for the world? The Us is still the largest economy in the world so we are not a small part of the huge world. we are in fact leaders in technology for most of the world. People in the US will buy them if they work for them not because someone in China has to walk to work. Not looking to be...

    Quietkat Rancher trike power

I agree it was decent but less power than 1000 watt mid drive. It was good on pavement not in sand

    Know Your Average Stopping Distance?

i agree if i am going 28 mph on my e bike and that is faster than i would pedal on my regular bike i should use a greater following distance. ( just like any car or motorcycle ) so if you want to be careful never exceed 15 mph on any bike there you go lol

Will ebikes really lead the EV revolution?

what i find interesting is last i read renewable energy accounts for about 10% of all our electric . Most still comes from fossil fuels running turbines. So much for clean energy

    Quietkat Rancher trike power

so my 1000 watt mid drive destroys the power the quietkat had. Its not even close i can zip up hills that the quietkat would never have gone up. In the sand the fat tire bike is awesome the quietkat would bog down and lose power i would have to get off and push.

    upgrade bafang mid-drive possible?

Two options in my mind and i am no pro here. Buy the one you can afford now , use it then sell it when you are done with it and ready to upgrade. I assume you would lose a good amount of money but used e bikes seem to be priced pretty high when kept in good shape. Option 2 save your money until...

How do you lockup your ebike

Sigtuna heavy duty lock, there is a catch I use my bike for hunting so I lock it to a tree within about 20 yards of the tree i am up. I have either a compound bow, crossbow or a shotgun in my hands. It would take balls to steal while i was in the tree. I take about 10 minutes to use the climber...

Why aren't there quick chargers for ebike?

I would buy a second battery charge the first while riding e bike with second if this was a concern for me. I normally do 3-5 miles and pedal some so no issues for me

    Wet weather.

    Chainring selection

So changing the cassette is not as big an expense as the chainring? Is this a common thing for a bike shop to do? I am handy just not familiar with bikes. Please do not think i am ignoring anyone or dismissing the suggestions. I e mailed Lina and i am waiting for a response. This is a lot to...
