2016 Haibike XDuro Trekking, I had to drive from Ontario, Canada to New Hampshire to pick it up.

We use a platform rack with a 2" hitch mount for our 2 ebikes, it works very well on our Outback.

Update: It was a bad controller, we managed to get through our vacation by developing work arounds and choosing our routes. Our thanks to the folks at Scooteretti and the it service department.

OK, error code 13 is electrical. Some have resolved it with a firmware update, not happening on our vacation, I will check the wiring and try cleaning the contacts to see if that helps at all.

DW's Evo City Wave is having controller problems. We are in Bar Harbor on vacation, this is her 4th time out with the bike. On power up, everything looks good for an instant, then it shows a 28 error code, flashes low battery and then gives a 13 error code and a triangle with an exclamation...

My experience buying online was nothing but the best, when you buy a new car, it is not unusual to have miles on the odo, up here, under a couple of hundred kilometers is still considered new. To the OP, sorry you were unhappy with your deal, but it doesn't sound as if you lost anything.

I picked up an Evo Street model on sale for under $2k US. I had it shipped to a UPS store close to the border, drove down, picked it up and paid the HST when I brought it back to Canada. It cost $100 to have a lbs assemble it; all-in price, around $3k Canadian......now if the snow would only...

I have an Exduro Trekking Pro, 27 gear combinations, in all honesty, I pretty much live in the middle chain ring, sometimes dropping to the lower sprocket on a steep hill.

Best is a relative term, what is best for one, may be unsuitable for another. Some things you would probably want to consider: Mag wheels (no spokes); 500 watt motor, 48 volt battery; throttle capability (you don't have to pedal); rear hub motor (more rear hub motors support throttles)...

I have a Haibike Xduro, Bosch drive, no throttle, DW tried out a Watseka last year and this year she is upgrading to the City Wave. I don't mind not having a throttle, DW insists on one. It will be interesting to see how DW likes torque sensing as opposed to cadence, I am betting she will...

There are some nice rides in New England. Route 1a and 1b south of Portsmouth, Nh are great to ride on, quiet roads, great scenery and beaches such as Rye beach and Hampton beach. Acadia national park is another great spot. The loop road around the park is a great 25 mile ride, rugged...

If you go to Amazon and search on ATV lifts you will get some choices. You will probably have to build some sort of cradle to hold the bike and perhaps a ramp but it should be doable. Macky
