Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Upgrade day! Finally found a place with Ergon GP3 grips. Broke them in with a 24 mile ride with a Biergarten in the middle. The city I went to University in was having their annual summer solstice Jazz festival. Biking, beer, and live music. Perfect start to summer (3 days early).

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I worked a 28 day swing shift for 6 months once. It was odd. 4 nights on 3 days off 3 days on 1 day off 3 nights on 3 days off 4 days on 7 days off. So you worked 14 out of every 28 days and had a stretch of a week off every cycle. They were 12 hour shifts. The week off was nice, but it was all...

Abus 5750 Frame Lock / Turbo Como frustration

I did look at that model as well. Ran into the same issue you are (availability). I agree that the measurements should fit though.

    New Vado frame?

Ah. Missed that. Yeah, mine is like the old picture.

    New Vado frame?

What are you claiming is different? It looks just like my 2022.

When I replaced the radar bolt that vibrates loose, I went for the blue loctite in my drawer as well. Always a good idea on vibration prone fasteners.

Vado 5.0 Fender Mount Bolt Replacement

Do you not have a local LBS? I’d just have them fix it on warranty. Otherwise, you could buy a handful of common metric sizes from the hardware store for $5 and do it yourself. I didn’t find a detailed bolt spec when I needed one for my radar bolt that vibrates out and I went that route so I...

    Ok, I get it now...

Which seat post did you get out of curiosity? Glad you’re enjoying it. Funny you mention the owl. I took the family analog mountain biking this weekend to prepare for the season (my daughter signed up first year for a local MTB club and has me coaching) and this buzzed my wife on the trail. Flew...

I would have said food and drinks so I can totally see your answer.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

2 months in and finally had an issue getting my wife’s battery to pop out. I had some body panel removal tools for working on my car. Fixed the problem in 5 seconds. Not bad to have on hand if you need them. Not the exact ones I have, but same idea. XBRN Auto Trim Removal Tool Kit,5 Pcs Car...

Enviolo Recalibration Discussion and Speed Calcs

Google was not cooperating at all the day I looked. It’s also been a long week so I’m not firing on all cylinders. 😅

Enviolo Recalibration Discussion and Speed Calcs

That would contribute some error. Finding the official number on any of the tech specs shouldn’t be as hard as it’s been. I don’t know why Specialized doesn’t publish it with all the other specs.

Enviolo Recalibration Discussion and Speed Calcs

Top speed and shifting/cadence issue was belt tension related. The belt loosened a bit. Tech suspects new bike break in fun. The pedal surging where occasionally the resistance drops around 25+ mph is still a thing. Although with the belt fixed, I put the gun in manual shift mode and didn’t...

Enviolo Recalibration Discussion and Speed Calcs

I had the exact same experience. Which I still don’t get because the tech that built my bike said it forced a calibration after firmware update upon initial build. The only difference is he did it on a stand and I did it on road. Might impact it? I’m going back tomorrow (hopefully it’s done) to...

Enviolo Recalibration Discussion and Speed Calcs

So I noticed at and above 24ish mph that I was getting some pedal surging (a crank or two of expected resistance with one of low resistance, repeating but not at the same frequency). So I assumed it was a shifting issue with the Automatiq. Everyone else seems to claim a recalibration did...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Finally had my work/vacation schedule and the weather align. First bike commute to work today on the Vado. By car, it’s 5 miles/10 minutes. By bike, it was 7.5 miles/25 minutes to go through almost all protected bike lane. 47 F when I left, 66 F when I returned. Such a beautiful sunny day...

Turbo Vado 5 battery removal issue

Mine has never stuck. Just needed to engage the lever far enough. I think they have a rubber seal around the opening. Maybe it’s too tight there and just needs to wear in a bit. Never needed to pry mine.

Turbo Vado 5 battery removal issue

Yes it is. More details please. Are you unable to release the battery with the lever that makes it dangle? Or can you get it to that stage and can’t wiggle it out of the frame once it is dangling? I could interpret both as a release.

Is it advisable to always use the RE battery first?

For many smart multi battery devices, the BMS will pull from each battery intermittently. It extends battery life by limiting stress and heat and such.

    Now there's a Grocery Getter...

I feel like Specialized with a Class 1 mid drive and current battery as a cargo bike like above could give Tern a run for their money if they did it right. And if you worry about crime and shopping, most stores (near me anyway) do free store pickup for orders above $35. Order groceries online...
