    I was worried about that at first as well. The charger gets bloody hot but that is how they work. I have a big chuck of steel that I sit the charger on as a heat sink. Also a well discharged RR battery can take 7 hours to charge.

    Would it be appropriate for me to set C12 to (7) +1.5 when using a 52 volt battery so it does not draw down to 40? I answered that myself! Battery management system takes care of draw-down and shut me down before I expected. I got quite a workout.

    Should have done more research before I set off on a day trip in a monsoon (25mm in 5 hrs). Water got in my raincoat and pooled at the elbows and came gushing out the cuffs whenever I stopped. Pretty sure I developed mild hypothermia and slept for 12 hours after.
