I would be a little weary of cycle claims. The way they cycle the battery is under a very low amp draw and in a relatively short period of time. So they will tend to get better results than in real world say ebikes do. There numbers are however right in that you get more cycles with less charge...

42v for 20% works out to 3.2 volts per cell. Not ideal and not recommended. If someone wanted to test 42v as a LVC they could but I would start at 45v and see where i'm at before going lower.

It's not my definition. It comes from the scientist in the industry. When I read about it they said the scientist wanted a way to differentiate from the metal cylinder cells. Since both are li-ion. It of course also stands for lithium polymer too. If you do a search you can find both definitions.

Another thing that wasn't already touched on is dealer price. Manufacturers expect a certain percentage on there discount to consider using you. I wouldn't be surprised if bafang, with it's already low price to consumers, couldn't agree to a price low enough to satisfy the big makers.

There are 5 types of lithium ion batteries. All 5 are lumped into a family known as lipo for short. The type of lithium used in 18650 cells (Cobalt manganese) is also the same type used in the cells I sell.
