Hello and Thanks Y'all! - from DFW (North Texas), USA

Contratulations of the purchase on your New Electra Loft Go. You will definitly enjoy the more active riding style vs your Townie 7D. I purchased the Townie Commute Go about a month ago after my 1600 plus mile riding experience with the Townie Go. I have no issues whatsoever with the Townie...

Help - Choosing a bike with a smooth e-assist feel

Hello Jim. I spend my winters in Southwest Florida. I wanted to purchase an ebike that could be serviced there and also back north in the summer months. That was one of several reasons why I purchased an Electra Townie Go. This brand is owned by Trek, which has a very large network of dealers...

Help - Choosing a bike with a smooth e-assist feel

Thanks. As I continue to ride longer distances, the Townie Commute was the right set up for me. Its still a somewhat relaxed riding position but less rolling resistance with the 28”x2” wheels. I have had it only a week and am looking forward to logging many miles and hours on the bike.

    An old wives tale ???

It is not advisable to dismiss the purchase of a mid drive over a concern about chain stretch, wear or strain.

Help - Choosing a bike with a smooth e-assist feel

I have the mid-drive Bosch Perfomance Cruise on two bikes. In my opinion this motor and the Brose offer the smoothest feel compared to pedaling a traditional bike. There is a different feel and experience with a hub drive motor, but many ebikers are very happy with them.

"No fair." In so many ways!

Any comments I have heard so far have been a good natured tease, and nothing snarky. Many roadies that I talked to are very inquisitive about my bike and are complimentary on the quality of the bike. I’m happy they still have their health to ride fast on a nice road bike.

How Many Use a GPS On Their Ebike?

I use my Apple Watch 3.The activity app on the watch does show time, distance, elevation change, speed, heart rate, and a map of the ride when done. It can give directions—roads only, but am not sure if the activity app can work with it at the same time. The heart rate is pretty accurate. My...
