They sure didn't give you a "used" discount when you initially purchased it. They charged you full price.

They gave Alaskan a Class 3 for $4799. I don't see any reason they can't do the same for me. They said they would, but then claimed they couldn't get a class 3. Well, I knew that was nonsense.

The Class 3 Lefty 3 shows itself in Medium, and Large, at REI!!!! Well, there was a Large, until I bought it.

    rail trails across USA

Thanks for that. I'm taking a totally different route from Vantage to Warden that does not involve any highways, or roads without shoulders.

    That's a cool bike. It's class 3, right?

I don't really count a 4.5 hour siesta to charge as "on the road". I can do a century a day on a non-electric bike, it's just much more healthy for me to avoid that level of exertion, and use an ebike. I might ditch the midday charging, and carry three batteries, getting 40 out of each charge...

Tanner is just past North Bend. I'm not sure why I put Donahue. It should be Rosalia. My plan is to ford the Columbia at Vantage if someone won't give me a ride across the bridge. I may charge at Snoqualmie Pass, but I'm not sure, as it might be a slight detour since the trail goes through a...

    rail trails across USA

Yeah, not exactly. 30 miles is the bare minimum I will get out of 500 watt hours on my bike. This is where I intend to charge: mile 57 - Tanner, WA <-camp mile 108 - South Cle Elum, WA mile 170 - Vantage, WA <-camp mile 230 - Warden, WA mile 282 - Ritzville, WA - off trail <- hotel mile 348...

    rail trails across USA

In June I'm planning on cycling from Seattle to the GDMBR using mostly rail trails/bike paths. It looks like I can get to St. Regis, MT mostly by bike trail. I'm hoping to do 120 miles a day. I figure that will take 4 full charges, or 2 kwh. Ideally, I'd like to cycle 60 miles, take a 4.5 hour...

I wish Salsa would make an electric Fargo that can take, at a minimum, 3 inch tires. The option for a front suspension fork would be nice, as well. Or maybe a Surly Ice Cream Truck electric bike. I like carbon fiber, I just don't trust it over the long run.

They say geniuses choose green. I love that the battery is accessed from the bottom. That's a lot of room for a frame bag. Plus, with that suspension fork, one could run an OMM front rack.

Tell them to order the correct bike, the one they advertised, from Cannondale. Sorry doesn't cut it. Google your state + consumer protection act false advertising. That will let you know what your rights are. Then you can let REI know that you know what your rights are. I see various bike stores...

    Cannondale Topstone Gravel Ebike

I need to carry one item that weighs 16 lbs. There isn't really any other option than a rack, or trailer. This bike can handle an OMM rack, but a trailer might lead to issues. I get that the seat stays may flex ever so slightly where the stabilizer arms for the OMM rack attach. I don't think it...

This is a good review of the old man mountain racks as they apply to full suspension carbon fiber ebikes. https://electricbikereport.com/carrying-cargo-old-man-mountain-sherpa-rack-chrome-barrage-pannier/

It can basically connect anywhere. Any load is on the axle. Here is an example how I will connect it.

I'll be using an Old Man Mountain rack, with Revelate Design Nano Panniers. Both pictured below. The OMM rack uses the thru-axle as the load-bearing mount.

That makes sense. However, Cannondale might be engaged in some mixed messaging: “An e-bike fitted with a good trailer can easily replace your car for local everyday journeys. ” from https://www.cannondale.com/en-nz/blog/family-fun-by-e-bike Look at how much fun this kid is having:

I was reading through the manual for the Lefty 3 and I came across this: "No Child Seats or Trailers - WARNING - Child seats and trailers or racks can not be used and are not allowed to be used with your Cannondale E-Bike." What are your thoughts?

Range Report: It appears the minimum range I can get is about 30 miles per charge. I weight 155 lb. I keep the tires slightly underinflated. I live in a very hilly area. I never use anything but turbo mode.
