Rocking the display connector while pulling it apart makes it much easier to separate the waterproof seal. Be very careful aligning the connector when plugging it back in. The pins are easily damaged.

I just measured mine to be normally open. (They were conveniently off the bike as I switched to two finger levers.) Normally closed would be annoying when the wire breaks and your motor won't run.

My BMS came with the overcurrent set to 50A and I've hit that limit 3 times! The battery was fully charged and the voltage sagged to 46V. That's 2300W before the BMS shut down.

I had the battery open to add an enable switch and you're right, it's 14s4p. We've been lied to. It's not 17 Ah. Now it makes sense why the BMS indicates a 14 Ah battery.
