Issues with the Turbo Creo SL (all variants)

I now have a gravel bike, fat bike and Vado ebike with single chain ring. With proper cassette ratios on the back, which all my bikes came with fortunately, I find the 1x a real nice setup to ride. And the couple of rides on the Creo have been very satisfying on flats and steep hills.

Which frame lock mounts to the Specialized Turbo factory mounts?

It is a challenge of finding a store that is willing to contact the distributor for the forms/info to do the one-key system. I weighed out the cost & hassle of it and decided to carry an extra key instead.

Abus Cafe Lock Advice for Vado

If you have mild machining skills you can make an adapter plate that goes between the frame and the frame lock. Saw this in another thread.

Known Issues & Problems with Specialized Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Why not just buy the Slime tubes? Saves a whole bunch of messy work. Check with your lbs for different battery wedges to stabilize battery when installed. Might help keep the battery in place. Lubing the lock and pin area at the end of the battery is a great idea. Haven't really had too many...

    Saddle

My SMP Dynamic I swear I could ride bare naked. But was a shot in the dark when I ordered it for my road bike. I have tried their other saddles that are more upright-oriented, but with not the same satisfaction. I am going to try one of the Power saddles this spring. It is snowing very hard...

    Saddle

Specialized Power saddle is appropriate for Vado, but not for Como riding position. If you set your Vado up with riser bars or a riser stem to get a more upright position, then that can change how a saddle feels. A Specialized dealer will have an Assometer to measure your sit bone width. You can...

    Sizing?

I too ride 54 road bikes. Unless you want to be very upright, a large step-thru frame would be a good possibility. Then you can change bars to risers if you want to be more upright. I am 5' 8" with 31" inseam. ST frame in large is perfect for me.

How many miles do you have on your Brose system?

They were a troublesome system, but BionX was most fun of all the motors we sell. Really torquey:) Shimano is nice and trouble free for the most part, and I would say second to Brose for smoothness. New Bosch are smoother than old ones. The old ones were just so rough and clunky. I have no...

Some real comfortable bar grips? My ergon grips are a pain in the ...... wrist !

Important to really check out all angles of grips, and sweep of the handle bars. Manufacturers such as SQLabs & Ergon make grips and bars to accommodate various sweep angles. 50K on an e fat bike is a long time in the saddle, particularly if its snowy, icy and rough. Would put anyone's comfort...

    Helmet For Class 3 E-Bike

Any helmet is better than no helmet! I am sure that ordering the cheapest off amazon is not really the best way to decide on a helmet. The NTA independent testing is important work!!, but you still have to try it on. Like a saddle, if its not comfortable your just not going to use it. Stefan...

    eMTB Options For 2024

Buyer psychology says most consumers will buy the middle of the road ebike/pedal/clipless shoe...because in your mind your better than the base model, but might not have the means or understanding spouse, to purchase the top of the line model. A lot of riders really need to check their actual...

    Need help changing chain

Inexpensive chain tools tend to flex. And driving pins don't last long when flex is introduced. A few of the chain manufactures make ebike rated chains that tend to be longer too, if you need it. Will have to visit KMC website to find out differences from a standard chain.....for those of us...

    Vado 4.0 Quit on Me

Specialized will use the data to update mission control program for everyone, if something needs changing. I would assume similar to plugging your car in at a dealership and they collect the data from thousands of cars. They will also determine from the data if your specific bike needs a...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Love my Sequoia. I am using the gooseneck post still. This bike with 42mm tires is still way more comfortable than my road bike ever was. Thudbuster is a suspended seat post I believe made by Cane Creek. Very reliable simple design that has been on the market forever. I have the long travel...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

If you order an extra charger, as I have, it comes in a box. The zip up case was a running change added to bikes part way through the year. It was intended to help riders keep paperwork, charger, etc organized in one place. The owners manuals are very basic. And really not much to the fork on a...

    I hate fenders...

Rack time does make a mount that works on the top of the Vado rack. Unfortunately putting a trunk bag and panniers on at the same time is not easy!! With a bit of finagling you can actually mount a better rack over top of the existing Vado rack/fender, one such as the Axiom Journey Mk ll. But...

I have the same Arkel Tailrider bag. Love it, but not sure how to attach it to the rack at the same time as pannier bags. The Racktime base part you used, is it called the Snapit System Adapter?
