Supercharger Rohloff HS vs Delite Nuvinci HS

Use the website I posted earlier in this thread. It has a cadence slider and you can just pull it around to see what happens with the two different shifting systems I added to it (Rohloff and N380). http://ritzelrechner.de/

Supercharger Rohloff HS vs Delite Nuvinci HS

Is he kidding? 65 km/h on a Supercharger GX Rohloff HS means a cadence of 120. I have maxed out 61 km/h on my Supercharger GX Rohloff HS on steep downhill, it wasn't a long stretch so I had no time to estimate cadence but I found it to be "pedaling like crazy". More often I have reached speeds...

New KIOX display and Fast charger for 2019

The fast charger is certainly an improvement for some. Guess it is most useful for those having only a single battery since they are most likely to run out of juice. Having the dual battery setup I personally don't mind charging them overnight, if it takes 9 hours then let it be, there is no...

supercharger GT Touring or Charger GX Touring

You need to buy the Charger GX with 2 batteries from the beginning. It is not possible to add it later according to Riese & Müller. If you have a bike with 2 batteries, the bike will switch between the batteries for every 5% consumed.

supercharger GT Touring or Charger GX Touring

You say the Off-road tires are a "pro"? Why, if you are going to travel mostly on roads? You can order the Charger GX with dual batteries, it is no problem.

Supercharger Rohloff HS vs Delite Nuvinci HS

If you were going on average 33 kmph in highest gear withthe Delite Nuvinci, it would translate to 57 in cadence. In comparison, the Rohloff on a Supercharger GX in highest gear needs a cadence of 61 for the same average speed. IMHO this is not large enough difference to be a major decision...

PAS not torque sensing, will I be disappointed?

What bike with a torque sensor do you have? I have a Bosch Performance-powered bike and the assistance kicks in instantaneously and gives the feeling that your legs are 3x stronger. The non-torque sensored bikes I've tried have all had a delay when the assist needs to kick in and out. It's like...

Supercharger Rohloff HS vs Delite Nuvinci HS

At the Ritzelrechner, choose "Speed" in the "%display"-box and you can see the speeds for each gear. It helps to visualize the gears. Maybe he/she meant it is common to do on other bikes, such as non-electric or with simpler (dumber) electric assist systems? Here's a thread on this very forum...

Bosch Performance CX Total Distance Travelled

Have you seen this site? https://ebikemonitor.wordpress.com/motors/mid-drive-units/ It compares distances reported by users for various drive systems. There seems to be various Bosch systems that have gone about 20.000 - 28.000 km so far.

Supercharger Rohloff HS vs Delite Nuvinci HS

For comparing gear ratios, use the german Ritzelrechner ("gear counter") website. Here I've done a comparison of the Rohloff Speedhub with the Nuvinci N380 with the correct chain ring and pinion gears. As it seems the Nuvinci has a higher top-end gearing and Rohloff excels in ultra low gearing...

    Front brake too weak?

Thanks for sharing @JayVee The bike is only 5 days old and I've not notice any leak yet. But I'll certainly keep an eye on this. Are you sure your MT4 calipers are not defective and should be dealt with your dealer? Fluid leaking from a brake caliper (from my automotive experience) happens...

    Front brake too weak?

Thanks Chris. It's possible to squeeze the (front brake) lever almost all the way to the grip. Almost. And still it doesn't lock the wheel completely. I'll try cleaning the rotor with some brake fluid and see if it gets better. If it doesn't I can try swapping the front and rear pads and see...

    Front brake too weak?

Got my Supercharger last week. This is my first experience with hydraulic brakes, so I really don't know what to expect. I've read that one should be careful with the front brake. If it is pulled too hard there is a significant risk of the wheel locking and the bike flipping over. Well, not in...

    Supercharger weight difference

The Supercharger GH has a Gross vehicle weight rating of 160 kg while the GT and GX has 140 kg. Why the difference? It is essentially the same components on the bikes. Same frame, fork, rims, both the GT and GH have the same tires. All three bikes can have dual batteries. I cannot see what the...

What do you guys think of this bike?

The Rennstahl 853 e-reiserad is the most beautiful bike I've seen. It has the classic bike frame look with the massive Moto-X tires. If I already didn't order a R&M in the same price category I'd go for the Rennstahl. The manufacturer has a short video (in German) about the bike. Even if you...

Haibike Urban Plus 2017 - The most exciting Urban E-bike!

Interesting, since Haibike is a German brand, the Urban Plus is apparently not sold in the EU at all. Cannot find it in any European web shop, it isn't mentioned anywhere. Was this bike only produced for the US market?

Shimano STEPS E6000 - This is a thread with some love but most salt.+ need help and tips

This is a common misunderstanding. There is no engine brake on your bike. It simply cuts off assistance and lets you do all the work. Since the assistance can be 3/4 of the total power input the bike requires you to quadruple your pedaling efforts above 25 km/h.
