    Creo SL 1x Chainguide?

See my post 15 of this thread. Knock on wood, I have never dropped a chain. Hopefully I won’t because I’m sure it will be a PITA to get it back on because there’s not much room to reinstall.

    FutureShock Spring Choice

Sorry, I wasn't very precise in my initial response. The one at the top of the stem. Mine was on too tight to remove by hand. It's painted and got a bit dinged up when I used plyers to remove. The screw below the cap that holds the spring in place removes easily with a wrench. There's a...

    FutureShock Spring Choice

I found it easy to change the spring in my Vado 5 SL EQ but be careful unscrewing to shock cap. I chipped my paint & had to repaint the cap. Mine was also delivered with the medium spring. I rode it for a few months then tried the light spring. I liked the light spring the best. It seemed to be...

Turbo Creo SL Expert Evo/Road Info.

Maybe chain stay isn’t the correct term. Here is a picture of one. My Creo didn’t come from the factory with one. They came with some ‘21 and later models on some Creos. My LBS got one for my ‘20 Creo and installed it for me. Here is a picture

    Winter Service

I read fine and know that. My point is that LBS are not typically qualified to repair motors. Although the motor expert link I provided does not specifically state they repair of Mahle motors, I'd certainly ask them.

    Winter Service

My Vado SL has 1500 miles on it. I'm planning on hauling it out to the Hoover Dam area in Nevada next month for a week of riding, so I took it in to the LBS for a tune up. The chain stretch was less than 0.5 mm and the brake pads were fine. The mechanic cleaned and lubed chain, sprocket, and...

Creo SLE evo @ 18 months

Stefan is of course correct about the hydraulic brake lines. The Park Tools video on changing brake pads covers multiple disk brake pad attachment styles.

Creo SLE evo @ 18 months

I checked the brake pads on my Creo EVO CC last week. Just pull the wheel and check the thickness of the brake pads. If they are over 1 mm thick (equal to about 3 business cards thick) they are good. If your brake pads are OK you probably just need to adjust the tension in the brake cable. Park...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

@jodi2: To answer your question, I have owned my Vado SL 5 EQ for 20 months and my Creo CC EVO for 10 months. I feel no motor drive system resistance in either bike whenever I ride them with no assistance. To me with the power off they ride like a non motorized hybrid and road bike respectively.

    Creo SL carbon paint job

I have a ‘20 Creo CC in blue. The upper face of the top tube is unpainted and has only a clear coat. The carbon fiber doesn’t have a consistent color so IMHO it looks bad. I think in later iterations and other color schemes Specialized painted that surface.

Need opinions from Creo and Vado SL riders

Stefan I am late to this discussion but did test ride the E5 and the carbon frame Creos before I bought my CC EVO. My 180 lb. body just liked the carbon frame more than the E5. The carbon frame does a better job of dampening pavement vibration. A lot of the urban streets in my neighborhood use...

My chain is jumping off the chain ring on my Creo

Also check that the chain is correctly installed on the chain ring. The wave type chain ring you have requires a specific mounting of the chain on the ring. There is an chain installation diagram on the chain ring. Mine is on the inside face of the chain ring and is hard to find. If the chain...

My chain is jumping off the chain ring on my Creo

There is a earlier thread on this topic: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/creo-sl-1x-chainguide.36519/ The chain guide attaches to one of the motor mounting bolts. My LBS ordered one for me and installed it shortly after I got my Creo CC EVO. I have been fortunate enough to have...

I have trouble getting button presses recognized in Turbo Connect Display -TCD

The TCD buttons on my Creo and Vado SL work fine but I found they reset the easiest if I do it as Stefan has suggested.

Class 1 alternative to Vado SL?

My central USA delivered Creo CC does not have the sticker on the left and it is definitely not cutting out at 25 km/hr. I wish it did have the sticker as I sometimes ride in areas which Class 3 riding is technically not allowed and it might keep me from getting a ticket someday.;) My theory is...

Class 1 alternative to Vado SL?

My class 3 stickers for the Vado SL and Creo are up a few inches higher on the seat tube very close to the interface with the motor housing. I have water bottle/RE Battery holders installed so they are typically covered up. Not sure if they were placed there by the factory or the LBS. I like the...

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

From a ride on the Katy Trail east of Sedalia, MO two days ago. The trail traverses the state of Missouri for about 240 miles using the old MKT railroad right of way. Many people ride the whole thing and stay in B&Bs along the way then are shuttled back. I'm just knocking off chunks using day...

Importance of buying from a local bike shop

It's stories like this that make me appreciate my LBS. They have always taken care of me and my Creo and Vado SL. Even when my problems were user error/ignorance. They haven't been perfect but have always found a way to make things right. It sure is nice that they are only a mile from my house...

Vado, Como, Creo, SL Current Firmware revisions

It looks like Blevo is truncating some of the firmware version numbers. You can find the whole number within the Specialized Mission Control app.

Vado, Como, Creo, SL Current Firmware revisions

Here are the latest firmware numbers for my Vado SL. I didn't have the range extender battery plugged in at the time of this screenshot but I know mine isn't current. These are for a US Class 3 ride so likely different than other areas which slow down the assist. This was the firmware update...
