Never did comparison to other Lithium chemistry; comparison was to lead acid in RV application. Although I have no problem charging 400 AHr LFP in my van, bikes will get charged outside the van even though the charge will be from the van.

Looks like it might fit in your bin, 400AHr LFP might be considered pimpin' and LFP is a safer chemistry than Li-ion. win - win!

Flat voltage curve is the beauty of LFP, in the RV world maintaining consistent voltage is a good thing. For that reason, voltage measurement is a poor method of monitoring SOC. Coulomb counters are more accurate.

I'm a retired Engineer, anal (not really a-hole) is my middle name. When we jump on the bikes I want to just ride and not have to think about anything, just enjoy nature!

The beauty of estimated range (ours is in miles) is you can adjust what you are doing to do what you want. If I'm running relatively flat with minimal assist and the range says 60 miles, when I kick it to max assist going up a hill and it drops to 22, I can make a decision on my next move...

I suppose as a recreational rider it's easy to periodically check range and adjust plan as necessary. Or plan grocery shopping within range; I know some need to travel further, but after 1 trip pretty easy to know capabilities.

    Car Rack For Step Over

I've got (2) Yakima bars that we used B4 ebike, worked great. They fit on the ebike, but I would not hang something that heavy off the bouncing back end of car. I found a weight limit somewhere but don't recall what it was. Edit: see post 6 capacity 45 pounds.
