Anyone have experience with SRAM Eagle Transmission on any Specialized e-bike?

I have! But at the time I wasn’t seriously considering norco. I will go back and check it out again!

Got a retrofit that makes it electric? It *is* a good goal bike. Models come with transmission already.

Anyone have experience with SRAM Eagle Transmission on any Specialized e-bike?

So, straight up comparison question of 4 e-mtb. I can compare motor things myself at the bike shops. I can ride models with each motor back to back. What I don’t know: which one of these would do the best as an “all around” bike used largely for class 4 roads, light trails and gravel. Canyon...

Anyone have experience with SRAM Eagle Transmission on any Specialized e-bike?

I think I am down to mountain bikes. I am awaiting quotes on the salsa, but the parts alone will put the price well above the norco and possibly above the fuel. I have e-mailed salsa about getting just a frameset, but I doubt that will happen. This brings the question: Why not the ari timp...

Anyone have experience with SRAM Eagle Transmission on any Specialized e-bike?

I have been looking at transition bikes for a while. The transition I really want is this: https://www.transitionbikes.com/Bikes_RepeaterPT.cfm SRAM Powertrain, auto shifting… etc. The relay will be a tough sell without a dealer Especially given the fazua motor. There are transition dealers...

Ugh. The hub on the tributary isn’t XD. So it’s a lot more annoying to switch to transmission. I think it may be ruled out shortly. Especially with the norco coming in at 7,300 with *no work*. Maybe less. Trek fuel exe aluminum would have been the same price with no work. I think carbon + bosch...

Looks like I could potentially buy and pickup a norco vlt c2 today if I want it. Tempting. Need to remain calm and rational. ;)

Anyone have experience with SRAM Eagle Transmission on any Specialized e-bike?

PERFECT! THANK YOU! That is exactly the context I needed. Definitely rules out the shorter travel. That trail seems pretty nice and smooth compared to the trails I have done here. Having dirt stretches that aren’t covered in rocks, roots and mud would be a rarity. These are not speed trails...

I don’t see any indication that the US model has UDH. IF it does, it’s a silent feature. Like the skitch comment below, short travel fork is an unknown. Not so sure. I am concerned about short travel fork. It’s longer than future shock, but I have no way of knowing what travel is enough. Future...

Anyone have experience with SRAM Eagle Transmission on any Specialized e-bike?

I agree, there is just a complete lack of transmission based electric “gravel” bikes. The tributary being the only one I can actually obtain. Like I said, both my blade 2.0 and vado handled it “sufficiently”. The vado struggled in some more extreme scenarios, but that was largely a tire thing I...

Anyone have experience with SRAM Eagle Transmission on any Specialized e-bike?

I think the tributary is going to cross into 9K after upgrades to transmission due to needing the full drivetrain + some new axs shifters ( just using retail pricing for various options. Parts alone could be 2-3k depending on the models selected ). I don’t think I am ok with that vs a carbon...

I think tributary has to be it for hardtail: https://99spokes.com/bikes?features=UDH&latestYear=1&motorKind=middrive&suspension=hardtail That list is either fauza, bosch sx, or likely has no local dealer. Crazy.

Anyone have experience with SRAM Eagle Transmission on any Specialized e-bike?

Yes, but they have some ability to do custom builds. So it’s not quite as bad as it seems. Doesn’t matter, isn’t happening. Gonna do another check for hardtail transmissions.

Indeed it does! But it comes with apex. On these hills I do 40mph without pedaling.

Sooooo, the tributary. There are very few of what you just described. Doesn’t the longer wheelbase also create stability downhill? I have never had a bike that doesn’t spin out downhill. And I haven’t *needed* more gearing on flats. But I have been in the highest gear (not spinning out on...

Anyone have experience with SRAM Eagle Transmission on any Specialized e-bike?

Correct, since the aluminum version is nowhere to be found. However, the gx transmission upgrade to the tributary is not going to be cheap (among other things). And for that not cheap total price, it still won’t be carbon or super light. To qualify, I am looking at total cost to equip “equally”...

Anyone have experience with SRAM Eagle Transmission on any Specialized e-bike?

I get the power transfer issue especially if you don’t have that brain suspension (or equivalent) or a lock out. But can’t you just lock out the rear to solve that when on a lot of smoother surfaces? I don’t see aerodynamics as much of a problem vs my sirrus X? Against a drop bar road bike...

Anyone have experience with SRAM Eagle Transmission on any Specialized e-bike?

Nope! I think that is very valid. Can you elaborate on what is miserable about it? But what vermont calls “paved roads” is “light trails” to the rest of the world. So it’s really hard to quantify. I was being so bounced around on the salsa confluence on a moderately good street that I didn’t...
