    New XP Lite...

I have already seen 2 YouTube reviews on this new eBike from Lectric. The things I actually like about it...1) single speed, no shifter/derailleur. I find this OK because on my XP I never shift the gears as I don't have to worry about large hills. 2) No fenders is OK as I don't ride in the rain...

    Yes! Handlebars moved closer!

Would this fit the original XP version 1.0?

Lectric XP PAS 1 through 3 no difference

So you were told to spend your own money on a new multi-meter...to troubleshoot a problem for them? (i.e...we won't send you any more parts unless you do). I think most new Internet eBike buyers are willing to roll the dice and fork over their money (and sometimes waiting months to get it) just...

    Bafang 1000 watts

The only sane way to build a super eBike (2-3k watts) is from the ground up with complete rear hub bolt on kit complete with EVERYTHING needed bolted onto any "good" bike of your choice. (A 7-Speed Mongoose Ardor or Ledge for example as per KevCentral would make an incredible super eBike. A used...

    Lectric Defects

I'd like to see a couple of changes (or options) offered on these bikes that would improve the ride quality and reduce maintenance substantially...yet not cost any more. 1) Spoke-less MAG type wheels (see Jeremiah McIntosh'es latest fat tire eBike review). This would eliminate any possible...

Thought I'd share a letter I sent to Lectric on behalf of all of us waiting for our bikes.

Imagine a roofing (or any other) contractor telling you after you've paid him 100% upfront,,,,"I'll be back in 3 months".

XP 2.0: Is 4 Weeks Realistic?

If you were to believe the media hype surrounding this company in terms of yearly sales (not including a boat load of private venture capital rolling in as per several news articles)...this company is awash in cash. YOUR cash, but the point of all this is that they can get away with it as long...

Thought I'd share a letter I sent to Lectric on behalf of all of us waiting for our bikes.

"Almost all current mail order ebike companies charge your credit card immediately upon order. That is despite the fact they can't deliver your bike for weeks or months. They need the influx of capital from orders to maintain a cash flow which for many of them with small capital reserves". I...

    Lectric XP 2.0 Reviews

Keep in mind....YouTube Lectric bike fan boy reviewers...get a FREE Lectric bike with just a phone call. (i.e...they have a bunch of new eBikes in stock for "special" people). Just saw an RV couple yesterday (that already have 2 version 1.0 bikes) post a video where they unboxed and received 2...

Thought I'd share a letter I sent to Lectric on behalf of all of us waiting for our bikes.

Its fascinating how the "most watched Lectric eBike" YouTube channels have NO problem in receiving FREE eBikes from Lectric for review...yet Lectric makes you the actual buyer, put 100% down on a bike (you've never ridden) and then wait a couple of months. The fan boys will say "hey, that's the...

    Lectric XP 2.0 Reviews

I thought a cool looking 4" fat tire folding bike was something that was a good fit for me. I was wrong on both counts. I rarely fold the bike anymore, and frankly a 27.5" tire rolls over the terrain much easier than a 20" tire. Its just a fact of physics. Ever ride in a car with 16"...

Ever think of getting a companion to the XP? Of course you have.

The Lectric was a good beginner eBike, but I would go next time with a non-folding, non-fat tire, 27.5" tire eBike. I find the 20" fat tires great for traction on snow or sand, but I honestly have no use for either as I'm on asphalt or hard dirt 99.5% of the time. Nor do I fold the bike 99% of...

    11 -34 freewheel

My money says the next version (3.0) will have the 11-34t freewheel as standard equipment. From what I have read, Lectric wanted to make this change for version 2 but the shipping and manufacturing issues in China prevented this (there wasn't time).

To latch or not to latch

I put a stretchable Velcro strap tightly wrapped around the frame and over the latch just for peace of mind. It also covers the charging port plug which is another poor design. Kills 2 birds with one strap.

Any pointers loading XP into back of SUV

For those who "had to have a folding bike"...then bought a Lectric version 2 along with the optional front and rear baskets...you probably defeated the folding option (unless you intend to remove and the install again those baskets every time you want to fold the bike...i.e. you ain't gonna do it).

    Lectric XP for a child?

The KENT Torpedo from Walmart is in stock with 2 day shipping. $498. Walmart is selling some really good eBikes the last 2 years. Even Kev from Kev Central is impressed with some of them. Its sized and powered right for a child. Getting an eBike that a small child can "grow into" makes no sense...

What would you like to see Lectric build next

The cost to ship containers from China is going up substantially with parts shortages projected until 2023, so everyone who anticipates new models or options...if you think you're waiting a long time now, you ain't seen anything yet. For me, the best option for my next bike...is building my own...

March 17 '21 order: 3-4 weeks until shipped; Waited 11 weeks until delivered on Jun 1 (OP) & June 3 (Tom J B).

Just read an article that prices will be going up and bike/parts shortages and delays will be with us for about 2 MORE years. There are only 3 main component manufacturers in the world and with thousands of companies selling bikes worldwide, its a really bad scenario. In fact used bikes are...
