    XPremium tannus armour inserts

What tire size did you have the inserts mounted in Alaskan and what type of flats? Seemed like a cool concept. Was surprised how easy the 20x4 tire/rim combo is to swap a tube even with the inserts. If the shop can figure out what's going on with the repeated pin-hole appearing up front I'll...

Both of these products are intriguing. Going to give each a try. Many thanks

    XPremium tannus armour inserts

This is the method I tried prior to reaching out to tannus. Tannus tells me they did in fact have a bad batch of tubes that all had a leak near the specific location. She refunded me for the two tubes I purchased however they had also included 2 extra tubes... Beginning to think the 3 tubes...

need help to untangle bike chain

Still working on the chain? I recommend an angle grinder. Start at the easiest spots to reach first that won't nick up the frame. Next time around start by using a chain break before taking the rear wheel.

    XPremium tannus armour inserts

Unloaded my bike from the truck this morning and the front tire was flat. Erik's bike shop did the tannus swap and installed the nickel plated rear sprocket. They were unable to swap my X8 gold chain because it's too short. Ended up pulling the front tube and notices a small hole about 10"...

    XPremium tannus armour inserts

FO seems like the better product on paper. Gonna roll the tannus w/o anything in the tubes and see how that goes. I live right on a n/w of bike path and would like to try riding a bit in the winter and it looks like both Slime and FO could be problematic when it gets too cold. I really don't...

    XPremium tannus armour inserts

Anyone running the tannus armour inserts and tube yet? Planning to install them on the XPremium in their 20x4 tires and wondering if I should be using an inner-tube any larger than 20x2.5 and if anyone recommends a good heavy duty tube or slime vs. any other puncture sealants.

    Water bottle for XP Lite?

Balsa, Check out Mizatto bike cup holders. They sell them in a 2 pack for ~$12. They hold from 12oz to a 32oz metal bottles no problem. Had 2 mounted on my Lite - 1 under the seat and 1 on the bars. You can mount them right to the front basket if you wanted to, as they're 3 point velcro...

    Lectric upgrades, swaps and insights

Another thing that helped was a miniscule amount of dialectic grease on the outside of the rubber plug.

XP Lite rack and panniers delayed again!

The cargo baskets showed up here today. Test fitted the small one on the Lite to see how it'd fit. Some work to do yet with the cables as they bind a bit when turning left... planning to install a quick-disconnect for the handlebars which will bring them up a bit and resolve that. I see...

XP Lite rack and panniers delayed again!

That's pretty cool. Be interesting to learn what he does to prevent salt corrosion. It'd be fun to rip around a fat tire bike through the snow and not ruin everything.

XP Lite rack and panniers delayed again!

Very Nice. Yeah, never ridden bicycle through Winona yet. We usually ride the motorcycles from the Cities down through Red Wing, through Winona on the way to La Crosse from the the Cities. Great part of the countryside. As a kid we did some cycling through Lanesboro which a little further...

XP Lite rack and panniers delayed again!

That's too bad about the carry package. How does the quick release bag sit? Still nothing from Lectric about my XPremium either. I'd like to hold out a bit longer to see if they keep to their word about shipping in July. Otherwise I may cancel and put the money into a custom build. No joke...

Mid-drive conversion on XP (or Lite)? BBSHD

The bafang ultra magnesium is a 1500w I've had my eye on but it's not "drop-in". Just started working on 3 wheel bike with a trailer and am contemplating using using 12x 12ah HO milwaukee red lithium batteries wired in parallel and series but still trying to figure out the best controller and...

XP Lite rack and panniers delayed again!

Heard that. Nothing but delays... Rockbros makes some good bags. I ended up ordering a kids basket for the front that looks pretty strong and a strong framed looking rear-rack but neither have arrived yet. Still waiting on the XPremium as I ordered front and rear baskets with it. Let me...

Lectric XP Lite first impressions (I'll update this after I ride)

Yeah, I'm starting to get the impression they're ordering everything from China with their custom logo painted on it. They certainly haven't mentioned otherwise. This would line up with their crazy delivery dates from the time of order. Ordered an XPremium in May with "Shipping in June" on...

Lectric XP Lite first impressions (I'll update this after I ride)

Good for Lectric to strategize the market, grow a business, and satisfy customers - That's what it's all about. While customers could get taken advantage of with their own lack of knowledge; that has nothing to do with Lectric and everything to do with the consumer. Plenty of us can piece...

Lectric Mid Drive? Hmm.. Game changer?

That's badass. Imagine adding a 3rd motor up front :) Any issues with chain hop using that setup?

    Lectric upgrades, swaps and insights

Have added a few accessories and little mods to the XP Lite after it arrived earlier this month. 1 easy mod was adding a little felt tape ahead of the battery key cylinder. This made it stop rattling or jarring over bumps and WAYYY easier to plug the charger port cap in. Check it out:

    New XP Lite...

Put 44 miles on the lite so far and leave PAS at 1. Haven't made time to mess with the setting though, maybe there's a way to reduce the clunkiness of the lag a bit. Been a great little bike for quick rides around town. The seat & pedals had to be swapped for ridability issues. Brakes...
