Pedego Palooza - Alexandria, VA + Bethesda, MD - May 2022

A Pedago Palooza is scheduled for 15 May, in the Northern Virginia, Maryland, D.C., area. If you haven't been notified and you are a Pedego owner or friend you should contact your nearest Pedego dealer for details. These tend to be alot of fun with food and ebike rides. It's a great...

Boomerang Walk Assist Mode, Garage Hoist Capability, Handlebars, and Mirrors

Yes, all similar Pedegos have a walk assist mode by turning off the throttle in settings as others have indicated in this thread. I find it to be a fast walk mode and have not had much need to use it. It's not as easy as many ebikes with one button walk mode but it is available.

    Loose Spokes on Pedego Element

Unless you particularly don't like this bike and want to sell it, I'd give Pedego the opportunity to solve your issue. Your Element has a lengthy extensive warranty and the condition you describe should be covered. You don't indicate you purchased from a dedicated Pedego dealer. Using velofix...

Hey Dewey, Thanks for the info. Todd mentioned he was looking for a location in the Vienna area on our last visit in the summer. Glad his business is growing. Vienna, VA is a great biking area with many ebike enthusiasts. We look forward to his grand opening and continued success. BTW, our...

Pedego Element or Pedego Ridge Rider?

My wife and I have owned Pedego Boomerangs for a few months. They are perfect for us. Quality enough for our needs though many believe Pedego uses average parts and charges a premium. To that I say you must evaluate the entire package including your needs and not just the individual...

    Purchased New Boomerang Platinums Today

You have an amazing number of miles. Impressive! No question these are expensive ebikes with a specific market in mind. Especially so for the Boomerang design. My bike mechanic roadie/mountain bike millennial nephew out in Denver would not be interested but he understands our needs are not...

    Purchased New Boomerang Platinums Today

We didn't ask for loaners but I'm sure he would have loaned us two rental bikes if needed. He's just that type of customer oriented owner. He had our bikes for a day to work on them.

UPDATE: We just passed 100 miles and had our first bike checkup. This 100 mile checkup is free. Wife's Pedego Boomerang Platinum remains in excellent shape and she's really happy with it. My larger Boomerang Platinum, which I'm very happy with, required a full torque sensor replacement. I...

Thought I'd share a letter I sent to Lectric on behalf of all of us waiting for our bikes.

From the site owner and moderator: "Please post in the correct forum section and then stay on topic. This is a site about electric bikes, not politics, religion or penguins. The difficult and nuanced piece is that sometimes ebikes and politics intersect and occasionally the Pope mentions...

FM Radio (Interference) Speaker Suggestions / Questions

You are correct. Sounds like small speaker pocket FM radio which in fact it is. Pulls in all local FM stations without hiss or static. Music is output by two small speakers in helmet above the ears. This will mix with all outside sounds including wind noise during biking. Sound quality is...

TWO ISSUES FIXED IMMEDIATELY: We were ebiking near our Pedego dealer on the beautiful Mount Vernon Trail near D.C. this past weekend and stopped by to see if he could help with two minor issues on our Boomerang Platinums. He and his mechanic dropped what they were doing and provided immediate...

    Pedego and the Element

We second what darksky says to you. Don't underestimate how much additional value you will get from having a fully parts stocked knowledgeable local bike shop. We've had our Pedego ebikes for about a month and our Pedego dealer's service, help, and knowledge have been invaluable. We can and...

FM Radio (Interference) Speaker Suggestions / Questions

I've used the Sena R1 for two years with reasonable success listening to FM radio. I like the fact I have total 360 degree hearing situational awareness around me. I bike in fairly populated areas with road traffic where I believe wearing headphones or noise cancelling earphones is unsafe.

Totally concur. When our iPhone XS is paired to our Sena R1s (via bluetooth) we see no more drain on our iPhone battery than if it's connected to any other bluetooth device. I'd add that if we choose to send music or podcasts via bluetooth to our Sena R1s to listen while riding we will use...

Sorry, but any company can charge your credit card the moment you place an order and agree to their terms and conditions. How many of us read those? Almost all current mail order ebike companies charge your credit card immediately upon order. That is despite the fact they can't deliver your...

Bike to Bike Communications: For folks wondering how to better communicate between riders on your Pedegos, I recommend Sena Intercom bike helmets. We own two Sena R1s. We've used them on our road bikes for a couple years and they work great with our Pedegos. We got tired of shouting to be...

The Joy of Boomerang Hanging: Frankly, I don't think ebikes are meant to be hoisted and hung from the ceiling but we have little choice. We have a townhouse with two car garage and not alot of storage space. Into this garage are shoehorned two cars, two kayaks, a foldup kayak trailer, lots of...

Thanks. Very interesting. I do see what you mean about the kickstand. I'll look at this mod. Did this require drilling into the kickstand to get the screw in?

Hi darksky, The hold down straps, as configured, are too long as you might see in the photos and must be wrapped several times around the bike frame and rack bar to which the rod clamps connect. I intend to cut them down to a more manageable length and wrap them around the bike frame and bar a...

Boomerang Platinum and Thule Easyfold XT Bike Rack Impressions (1 month): Thought I'd give a short list of impressions, not really a review, after riding these bikes a few times. I won't reiterate what Court said in his review, which I agree with, unless I think it needs emphasis. 24 Inch...
