    2.5-3" tires with puncture protection?

Yes, use slime in the tyres, best puncture protection you can get, had the front tyre go down on a run two weeks ago, topped it off at a local servo, couldn't see anything that caused the leak, tyre is still holding pressure.

    Smartphone mounts for bikes, 2019/2020

Yep, second that, quad lock is nice and solid, and the case the phone fits in is pretty tough and has protected the phone well when it was dropped a couple of times.

Upgraded my brake calipers w/ TRP cable actuated hydraulic disc brakes

Yeah, thing is hydraulics are self adjusting, I did look at the hybrid system but dismissed it because of complexity, hydraulic is simple, no cable drag, and is simple enough to add the cutoff switches

    Cordless Electric Lawn Mowers

Ego have a three year warranty on the batteries, so far I've had this Ego mower for over two years, over the summer I'll mow once a week, never use the catcher, always mulch the clippings back into the lawn, result is the grass is thick and lush and it keeps the weeds down. The same battery...

Whos changed their disc brake pads? It's so hard!

Park tools have videos on YouTube on servicing and cleaning seals on hydraulic disc brakes. After I have cleaned the pistons and caliper with brake fluid (Shimano mineral oil) and alcohol, I use the old pads to push the pistons back in with a large screwdriver.

    Slime question?

Yep, in two places, how it happens is apparently the fencing nail with a flat head is lying on the road, as the front tyre passes over it the nail is tipped up and the rear tyre catches it, I was doing about 35kph, and suddenly noticed a thumping noise from the rear tyre, pulled up at the post...

    Slime question?

Because it's a liquid, not solid, as the tyre rolls it's distributed evenly

    Which 48V should I get? 13 or 17.5Ah

Get the larger battery, consider the range you intend to do, if eg. you get a battery that covers 40km and as the battery gets older you lose a bit of range you will find that the battery won't quite cover that, a larger capacity battery will give you 60km which will cover that 40km and then...

    Slime question?

This a good enough reason?, Tyre didn't go flat while the nail was in and after I removed it, and used it for another 18 months after, fitted a new tyre and tube and more slime.

    Helmets...Wear Them!!!

Many years ago I caught the meridian strip while crossing the road, I when over sideways, broke my right collarbone and a couple of ribs and knocked myself out, don't know how long I was out for but I woke up on the stretcher being loaded into an ambulance. Thanks to the helmet I didn't crack...

    Affordable bicycle repair stand?

Exactly my thoughts, I have the older stand, it's solid, easy to fold up, holds my 30kg ebike with battery, no problems, the new "improved" stand has been designed by an idiot who just copied what other cheap stands use, I bought it because of the quick clamp to hold the bike and the way the...

    BBSHD Creaking Sound

Fair enough, just that I think to much grease is almost as bad as too little, I'd use about half that, and as you say the right grease matters. Not sure where I can buy the Mobile grease here, I have a friend who ran an aviation supply company, I'll see if he can get me some.

    BBSHD Creaking Sound

Personally I think he is putting way too much grease in, and his motor is still noisy so the other gears will need checking, my bbshd is still very quiet after 3300km

    BBSHD Creaking Sound

The motor should be hard up against the down tube, place a piece of rubber between the motor and tube, also check your cranks the creaking can come from slightly loose cranks

Which Lock for e-bike (Explore E+ 1 GTS)?

Yes after watching Lockpicking Lawyer and Bosnian Bill I certainly would not use Master locks since they are all rubbish.

    Good tubes!

Green slime works fine, I have similar thorns around here, pulled ten of those out of the front tyre one day, no flats

    Compressor godsend

Yep, this pump works really well, I already have a few other Ryobi tools so I already have the battery packs, this pump will work on a small car tyre like my Daihatsu but anything bigger it takes too long, but bicycles, trailers not a problem.

Bafang brake sensor for gear shift sensor

White or black flat two pin plug, it's a 6volt 3W output, depending on the display it will power up when you switch the display to dark mode or the newer displays use a light sensor which will automatically turn the lights on and dim the display, My friend has this setup, if I am behind him...
