Tweak more top speed on LMT'D?

The chainring will have no factor on the accuracy of the speed. A workaround to get assist faster than 28 mph would be to change the wheel size or speed sensor setting in the display settings so that it reads a lower mph on the LCD than the actual speed, so the bike doesn't know it hits 28 mph...

OP said he definitely wants a torque sensor, so that one is out.

Looking for under 2.5K Torque Sensor Ebike

Kevin, the owner has ridden one. He spoke highly of it. Of course, some would say he's biased. :) I think it's an interesting bike, based on the Brose motor system, but at that price point, I wonder if it might be worth spending a little extra dough for a Specialized, like a 2021 Como or...

Stromer ST2 vs Riese and Muller Nevo 3, Specialized Turbo Como 5.0

Vado is too upright?? But Como is comfortable? Como is more upright than Vado!

    Replace grips?

Hair spray is good for getting grips to stick so that they don't twist after you get them in place because the hair spray dries and acts like a glue. I would avoid using it for removal, though, for that same reason.

    New Vados, Comos, and TERA!

It would be nice if I could lower the maximum assist speed myself through the display or phone. Taking it to a shop every time I want to make a change, which could be at any point during a ride, is not practical. So I would just leave it set to 28 mph.

    New Vados, Comos, and TERA!

With the 2022 models, I think I would go with a Vado over Como, the opposite of the 2021 models. Looks like assist is to 28 mph. Could that be adjusted down in previous years' models through the display or Mission Control?

    New Vados, Comos, and TERA!

That would be very disappointing if they didn't offer the Como in high step anymore. I wouldn't purchase a step-through.

Surgery recover/an ebike mainly for hill assist???

If hills and headwinds didn't exist, I wouldn't have bought an e-bike. When riding my standard bike over the years and was riding up a big hill or into a strong headwind, I would think it would sure be nice to have an e-bike at times like that. And when I finally got my e-bike, I'm using it...

Surgery recover/an ebike mainly for hill assist???

??? I'm surprised you say something like that as much as you are on this forum. I explained just 3 posts prior to yours why I appreciate having an ebike and also mentioned a few posts back that I have been riding a standard bike for years. The e-bike is much nicer to ride, even unpowered on...

Surgery recover/an ebike mainly for hill assist???

I spend more miles riding my e-bike with assist completely off than the time I use all of the assist levels combined, and my bike is 62 pounds just for the base weight and has 2.4" wide tires. My longest ride of the summer was 61 miles, also mostly with no assist. On level ground, once I'm up...

Surgery recover/an ebike mainly for hill assist???

I've been riding a standard bike for many years. I got an e-bike this year. I still ride to keep my heart rate up and get a great workout. I always wear a heart rate monitor. It is outright false to state that you can't get a good cardio workout on an e-bike. Craziness.

    Trek bikes we bought.

I noticed a couple people referred to "Bickles". It's actually "Bickel's". I bought a standard Trek bike there well over a decade ago. I was in there last summer (2020) to check what they had, and they were pretty well cleaned out. I ended up waiting until Feb 2021 to get an e-bike. Haven't...

    Ride 1 Up Prodigy

I've seen comments from people that seem very interested, but I don't know who's ordered. They probably aren't in any rush since it won't be shipping until January, and to top it off, people in most of the country don't normally ride bikes much at that time of the year. Existing thread on the...

    Are We Condemned to Strava?

Interesting. The Mission Control App FAQ states the Como is not compatible with it. "Due to the type of Bluetooth® connectivity on Turbo Vado/Como displays (provided by BLOKS), we can't connect to these bikes with Mission Control. If you want to adjust the tuning modes on your bike, please...

    Are We Condemned to Strava?

Is the personal power meter metric available on all Specialized bikes via the app, for example, Turbo Como 3.0? Do any other e-bikes provide personal power data via their apps, like Giant?

Does RWGP auto pause stop heart rate logging when you are stopped, and are these heart rate metrics/graph available in the free version? I'm guessing no.

Class 3 Bikes: What Do Manufacturers Know That We Don't Know?

You can have the 50 degree weather for riding. lol I'll be driving my car, and there's no 15 mph gridlock in my city. There are surely some exceptions. I've read articles about a drop in people biking. But around here, I don't see many people biking in the nice weather months, and almost...
