    A very disorganized, 9-month, 700-mile, Ride1Up Series 700 Review

I bought my 700 for under $1500 and put over 2300 miles on my 700 from March through November, and I actually rode a large chunk of those miles with PAS in 0 with no throttle, and the bike feels light when riding on flat ground once up to speed, so I would ride mile after mile with no assist. I...

    Suggestions for ebike around $1500?

I like my 700, but my routes just have the occasional big hill, and I pedal hard. If I had more bigger/longer hills or didn't want to put as much effort into pedaling, I would probably go with a mid-drive bike. Actually, I would still like to get a mid-drive drive bike and have some in mind...

I like the new 2022 version. Why do you recommend the 2020?

    Prodigy available for pre-order

The link is not to the first post in that thread, it is to the post that states, "I would like a mid-drive, carbon gates belt, with a geared rear internal hub." That is not in reference to the Cafe Cruiser. The post of mine above from Oct 23rd that you initially replied to was me posting about...

    Prodigy available for pre-order

That is absolutely incorrect. The Cafe Cruiser is very different from the Prodigy pictured and discussed here, and it doesn't have an IGH or belt drive, and that's not the bike Kevin (Ride1Up owner) was talking about in the thread I liked to that you quoted me on. I posted another thread here...

Available Mission Control and Mastermind TCD-W Statistics

Oh crap, the rider power metric on these bikes was something I was very interested in, but I was assuming it had more than a 3 second average for rider power. That is extremely limited. Bummer.

A New Ride1up Model is Coming

It reminds me a lot of my Ride1Up 700, but it's got 3" wide tires instead of 2.3", so being 3 extra pounds isn't surprising at all. Those wide tires might be nice on some of these rough rural Illinois roads I ride on, but I'll stick with my 700. There's some third party review of the bike...

Another 700 series review...here is my take on this pretty cool ebike

Congrats - you made a good choice. I bought mine in late winter and put over 2300 miles on it. No regrets. Interesting about your shoe dragging on pavement/trail. I haven't had that happen once on my 700 and have never heard anyone mention that in the last year in the Ride1up FB group, yet...

    700 Chainring adjustment

I haven't had this issue on my 700. I'm almost always riding in the top few gears. Someone was just reporting in the FB group about an issue with the chain coming off when pedaling backwards, and it was due to his chain. https://www.facebook.com/groups/264729534163214/posts/913065022662992/

Tweak more top speed on LMT'D?

On my 700, which uses the same KD218 display as the LMTD, the setting "speed limit" is only relevant to throttle assist limit. I mentioned this earlier in the thread. The PAS max is always 28. The speed limit setting came defaulted to 20 mph on my 700, and my throttle would assist to a max 20...

Tweak more top speed on LMT'D?

I'm surprised the LMT'D would have that low of power and speed with throttle only compared to my Ride1Up 700. On my 700, using the KD218 display with the throttle speed limit set to the maximum of 28 mph, it will assist up to 28 mph using throttle only (with PAS set to 0 and not pedaling) if...

Anyone with a 500 series ST with a noise issue?

It's hard to tell from a video, but there's some noise from the hub motor. My 700 has the same motor. I don't think it's that loud, but I usually am using no more than 6% PAS power.

    Prodigy available for pre-order

Kevin from Ride1Up stated yesterday that they might release a Prodigy with a belt drive and IGH for $100 to $150 more. https://www.facebook.com/groups/264729534163214/posts/896243421011819/?comment_id=896252111010950&reply_comment_id=896457200990441

Tweak more top speed on LMT'D?

I forgot to respond to this. If you got your LMTD last year, it would have a torque sensor. Earlier this year, they switched to a cadence sensor version. They only have one or the other. Rumor is they will be changing back to selling them with torque sensors, although I haven't seen...

Tweak more top speed on LMT'D?

You will actually have to put in a "smaller" size tire to have it read a lower speed so that the bike will continue to assist beyond 28 mph.
