If it is hydraulic you may be able to squeeze the brake lever with the wheel removed to force the piston from the caliper housing. Or wrap a rag around the piston and apply air pressure to the caliper. Either way is messy, so beware.

I think the C380+ is a great choice. I love the internal gear hub to keep the parts clean, and being able to shift at a dead stop is a great benefit as well. I noticed the no class 3 from Gazelle also, and feel it is to bypass all of the upcoming litigation imposed on other than class 1 bikes.

Excellent work!! I love the internal gear hubs as well and miss the one I used to have with my Dekra. It was a 3 speed Nexus IGH. It also had the cool factor of shaft drive.

I was originally looking at Yamaha as well, but supply issues stood in my way and I was not buying an e bike I couldn’t see and ride in person. Thus the Gazelle, and very glad it worked out this way at this point.

Thanks for the comprehensive review. I am a gear guy myself and don’t think I could be happy with a CVT. I liked Gazelles internal gear hub with their belt drive, but could not justify the extra cost. The internal gear hubs can be shifted while stopped as well, but DO allow you to still choose...

You may try a thin layer of Permatex blue silicone o the backsides of your brake pads from an auto parts supplier. The silicone absorbs the vibration eliminating the squeak.

Good list!! I use disposable clothes!! Just old clothes you don’t care about. Wear them, get them dirty, throw them away. Makes for more pannier room as you go.

I DID go with the Gazelle panniers and love them. I also used the MIK rack mounting system to make things a snap. Very pleased, but expensive.
