    ST1 Platinum Display Issues

While it may or may not be related, my Stromer does do weird things in extreme cold. My display looked that exact same way every time it would regen when I was riding in 5F temps last week. After about 10 miles it was fine. I assume this was the time needed to warm up whatever was flaking out.

    Bike tools

I've built two complete bikes, installed a Bafang mid-drive, and maintain all my bikes myself using this Nashbar Essential Tool $50 tool set. The only thing I've ever needed that it didn't have was a spanner wrench.

    Say Hello To Storm

I only saw the last 15 minutes but it appears that its going well. Most riders have the "eBike grin" after completing their ride. Yikes! Some people should not ride bikes. Like ANY bike. There were several riders that looked like they should have used training wheels.

    Say Hello To Storm

Questions (some of them may need to be sugar coated): Why are the orange rims not offered? Does he have a business plan or he is making it up as he goes along? Is this a 100% China made bike or did be have anything to do with the design or component selection? Why does it look exactly like...

    Say Hello To Storm

I just received the 1st prototype of "The Gus" from China. She's a beaut clark! Yes, to those with a keen eye, that is a He-Man Masters of the Universe lunch box mounted to the frame. It not only stores the battery but also your snacks! (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) I also took it out and...

    Say Hello To Storm

Isn't this thing basically the juggernaut/stunner? I think with enough volume, profits are there for just about anyone importing direct from China. Thats why I've just started working diligently with China to develop 'The Gus.' A 750w mid drive motor with shift sensing technology, belt drive...

    Not operate the setup menu

Just to confirm: Is the bike already on and past the bootup screen before you hold the power button and the + for 3 seconds?

What is Best way to find MTN bikes with 68 or 73mm BB?

Unfortunately, I doubt a searchable database exists. You'll have to go the manufacturers websites and search through their models and look at the specs for the ones you are interested in. I would try to focus on what mountain bike you want to get (rigid, full suspension, hardtail, etc) then...

What is Best way to find MTN bikes with 68 or 73mm BB?

If you are shopping online, the BB size usually shown on the specifications section. For example: 24mm BSA for 2 pc. design, 73mm If you are shopping locally, just go ahead and measure it to confirm. The majority of mountain bikes sold today have either 68 or 73. The higher end bikes...

    Say Hello To Storm

Yep. It was not a Juggernaut but a modified fat bike with the BB shaved down to 73mm. I also own the BBS02 installed on a non-fat bike and own a fat bike without a motor. I mainly ride my fat bike on singletrack. On singletrack, there is a lot of shifting, which is a problem for the Bafang. The...

    Say Hello To Storm

Agreed. Hub motors on fat bikes is where its at. The Bafang mid drive has gobs of power but the amount of shifting required for off road riding makes the Bafang mid drive a horrible experience on a fat bike. The Bosch is far superior but will never be a powerhouse. -10 cool points I would have...

    ST1 Elite chain ring mod

Thanks and nice find with the codes! I didn't know about those. 36 km/hr (22 mph) in boost mode! They should change that to Beast Mode. I didn't know the Stromer motor had it in it to go that fast with no pedaling.

    Say Hello To Storm

The 750w/500w Bafang BBS02 is an extemely huge difference between the two bikes. The Storm is basically a 4 cylinder. The Juggernaut is a V8, relatively speaking. I can see why Bitrix is trying to jump on the Storm bandwagon, but that $799 bike sure does crap on anyone that paid $1500 for the...

    Say Hello To Storm

I actually agree with you for a change - sort of. I agree that the vast majority of Storm buyers are probably gullible, unknowledgeable to ebikes, impulse buyers aka "nubes" as you call it. Now, my argument is that the vast majority of buyers will care. Consumers do not like getting tricked...

Give it a rest biknut. No need to make petty insults to other forum members. Not everyone blindly believes this bike is the 2nd coming of Jesus to the eBike world.

    Say Hello To Storm

OK, let's just run with that statement. That is a 70% degradation in expected range. How many people bought this thing are fully expecting to get a bike that goes 50 miles at full speed like the people shown in the promo video? People that know eBikes know that a 36V 9ah battery is NEVER going...
