    Test ride on a Bikonit MD1000 (Mid-Drive) and HD 750 (Hub-Drive)

Thanks for the replies. I already have a Trek X-Caliber and am in ok condition (been riding a lot more lately) so I would typically pedal the whole time. I was mainly wanting to understand the mechanics of a mid drive. I have been wanting an electric assist fat tire bike for mainly cruising and...

    Test ride on a Bikonit MD1000 (Mid-Drive) and HD 750 (Hub-Drive)

This may sound like a stupid question but does a mid drive typically have a one-way bearing so one can go throttle-only and it turns the crank gear separately from the crank itself or do you have to be physically pedaling at all times for it to work? Test ride on a Bikonit MD1000 (Mid-Drive) and HD 750 (Hub-Drive)

    Test ride on a Bikonit MD1000 (Mid-Drive) and HD 750 (Hub-Drive)

You need to factor in shipping, which is definitely not cheap. Any of the Alibaba suppliers charge $600 minimum for shipping. Now, the price of the bike IS lower but unless you can negotiate a way to choose your own shipper that brings the price up to $1900 for the HD750 and $2900 for the MD1000...

    Test ride on a Bikonit MD1000 (Mid-Drive) and HD 750 (Hub-Drive)

Well, I started out considering a Rad Rover, then after watching some of Bolton e-bikes reviews, mods, etc and came across the Bikonit. I think I'd like to go with the HD 750. Does anyone know if there is a user manual anywhere for download? I tried contacting Bikonit in US as well but no...
