Jonathan, an 18mm gear wrench works well. You can buy one on ebay just the 18mm for a good price + free ship. A gear wrench will last you a lifetime and is good on a lot of automotive bolts too. A regular 18mm box wrench will suffice too.

    New CCX Pictures

I dunno how you ride with a seat like that, more appropriate name would be Ballbuster saddle. Looks like a million $ though.

I have the CCX and am 5'11" and 32i inseam, the L was the right size. Especially for reach to the handle bars, any further than that would not be acceptable to me. As it is about 2in taller and 2/3in back would be perfect for a true upright riding position that I prefer. I'm still thinking about...

    Ripcurrent assembly questions

    Ripcurrent assembly questions

WOW, I always thought handlebar extensions were for gripping your hands with the handles that mount on the bar ends, LOL. You guys are teaching me a lot. W/no room on my bars that single mount extension just might be in order for my smart phone mount and to place my horn. Hear that GIANT sucking...

    Rear Fender on RCS Removal

I like the look of the bikes w/o the fenders. I kept the front off and when the time comes for the rear wheel to come off that fender will be kaput too.

    Ripcurrent assembly questions

Rear lights are cheap and you have a million choices to choose from. 2 Duracell aaa's and they last forever unless you bang them up. I wouldn't sweat that at all. Now if you didn't get the front light that would be an issue with me. I like the front light that comes with the bikes.

    CCX Voltage

Justin you are correct, I was wrong. 45v is 20% on the 52v battery pack. Thanks for clarifying that. I've read so many #s concerning these batts that I was confused. That helps me a lot in order to be accurate regarding batt usage.

    CCX Voltage

Commuter from all I've read there's 2 killers for our batteries to avoid. Don't overcharge above 100% and don't get near the dreaded 42v on a 52v batt. Stop using the batt at say 45v or near. That thresh hold is just my guide line but you must have one to prolong batt life.

    Speedometer accuracy?

Has anyone tested the accuracy of the speedo set to mph? It sure seemed to me on full throttle going 20mph wasn't 20mph, could just be my perception. seemed like 15mph or a little under. I don't have a way yet to set up my smart ph for gps yet and need to learn how to do it. Need to figure out...

    CCX Voltage

Remember the stock charger only charges to 95% of capacity to prolong battery life by design. Hence the 57v and not the 58v fully charged. My stock charger also charged to 57.7v when the green light come on. I don't think a tenth of a volt matters all that much.

    1st long ride

Spare battery is my solution, at $1199 when in stock is a bit too much right now. If he had a 10/12ah batt that might be ok price wise. The 48v sells for $600 and that's easier to do. I'm going to work on assisting more and learn what level is best for me, I'll never be a spandex type bicycle...
