Help my EMTB go faster - tech says it can't :(

Wow, 4 tooth increase only equaled a 3mph gain. That's a little disappointing. I find wind resistance really starts kicking in above 25mph and hurts my ears, so I actually would just like to keep it there with a lower cadence. How does the 5 lower rpm translate as user experience? Is it...

    My buddy crashed yesterday

Wow, I read your story expecting to hear the worst. So glad your buddy was relatively alright and in a positive attitude! We all make mistakes. Glad it sounds like he'll be ok. At 82, you've got to take any fall seriously!

Help my EMTB go faster - tech says it can't :(

You're awesome Timpo. I forwarded this to my bikeshop owner. He said my chainring has no such marking he recounted and there are 36T. I'm weirded out. He thought 38T, online shows 32T and hes now counting 36T. How do you know it fits up to 38? What would the noticable benefit be in going...

Help my EMTB go faster - tech says it can't :(

Hi Mike. I consider you an expert! Can you expound? Will I really mess it up, or just tax it a little more. As an almost 50, easy riding person, I'm far below the max parameters of the engine on a day to day basis. Think I could really kill a brose with 2 extra teeth?

Help my EMTB go faster - tech says it can't :(

Where did you see it was 32T? Maybe the tech was wrong! I dropped it off to the shop requesting a tune up and to increase the chainring size. It's currently stock. I hope you're right.

Help my EMTB go faster - tech says it can't :(

Hi guys. I've got a BH EasyMotion Atom X. It's got a 38T chainring in front and the smallest (fastest) chainring in the back has 11T (teeth). The tech at my local bike shop says 11 teeth is the smallest there is at the back wheel, and anything bigger than 38 teeth up front would hit the frame...

How local bikeshops treat your online purchase?

Hi PDoz. No need to struggle to explain why I'm blaming bikeshops....I wasnt trying to blame anyone for anything. Just reporting my experience and trying to understand it a little better, which this thread has helped me do. I bought my Rolex online. The mall jewelers have no problem doing...

How local bikeshops treat your online purchase?

I would never have guessed you were 66! You know, I own a car! I took my daughter down to stables where they breed and sell horses because at 6 years old, she's been begging to ride one. All the people there were still so nice to me. No grudges about the Honda. Instead, they let us pet the...

How local bikeshops treat your online purchase?

Ah, I can see why you 'were' a small businessman. ? What if I had bought my bike from a NorCal bike shop, then moved to SoCal. Would they still be justified in their behavior....from your standpoint as a former business owner?

How local bikeshops treat your online purchase?

I purchased a BH EasyMotion emtb online. Buying locally was almost 1/3 more expensive, plus I'd have to pay California's 8% sales tax immediately. I just couldn't justify spending $1,000 more locally. Well, my BH now needs some warranty work, of which, both labor and parts are covered by...

    Ride1up range per battery charge

Hi AlanC. Count yourself lucky. I have a brand new EasyMotion BH Atom X. Stats on their website promise "get there and back" power from a 700Wh battery that they rate at "up to" 90 miles of range. I'm averaging 6 MILES OF RANGE on level 3 of 4, doing moderately hilly street riding. ???? I...

Known Issues & Problems with Brose Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Sorry for the long time before my reply. I was emailing with my online ebike salesrep. He told me he thought the Bulls Evo's Brose motor powered the bike to something closer to a top speed of 27mph. He said when people use a dongle, they're often asking the brose motor to give assistance up to...

Your Feeling about Using 'No Trespass' Private/Gov Trails

I happen to live in a SoCal beach area. Signs say no dogs on the beach, but there are hundreds. Signs say no bbqs, no liquor, no smoking, but everyone does it. Signs say beaches closed at dusk, but there are hundreds of people on the beaches at night. Now that's some down to earth advice!

Your Feeling about Using 'No Trespass' Private/Gov Trails

Between me and the nearby trails is a busy and quite dangerous street. But there's another route to the trails via a government maintained service dirt road for power lines. It intersects service dirt roads for the water district. All these dirt roads have multiple "do not enter, government...

Fat, Cushy, Grippy EMTB Plus Tires

I recently purchased a BH Atom X that came with 2.8" x 27.5 plus tires (Nobby nics). I used to mountain bike in the 1990's with 'standard' MTB tires on a hardtail. The fat plus tires are amazing! I've got the pressure low (20psi). The grip blows me away....so much better than standard 2.25"...

How far can you go on a charge?

I have a 2019 BH Atom X with a 700w built-in battery that incorporates all new, industry leading 21700 cells, which offer the highest energy capacity on the market (5 Ah) And I get a total range....from 100% to 0% of......6 to 8 miles. Check out the pic below of my display. Battery at 99%...

    Brose

Wow, not me. How many miles do you have on the bike? When I pedal from standing, I do have the problem of the engine engaging late in the pedal stroke. When it kicks in, the resistance goes from 99% to 25% and I almost slip and fall sometimes. But that's not belt or motor slip. Hopefully...
