Carrying photography gear on a ride

1 / / This is exactly the setup that I have opted to get. I will need 2 Peak Small Camera cubes as one will not be enough. I will lash my Tripod to the rack with bungees Thanks all

Carrying photography gear on a ride

Will have to wait until Spring, but having the camera gear on one side will make for some interesting balance issues I am guessing - 2 bodies and 4-5 lenses including a large telephoto I use for Bird Photography

Carrying photography gear on a ride

Agree, I do not think I would want to ride a bike with a high center of gravity

Carrying photography gear on a ride

Thanks for the comment. I do not anticipate rough terrain as I will be doing mostly "Old Man riding"

Carrying photography gear on a ride

Was about to post a thread about this, and presto ! There it was listed below (a feature I have never seen in other Forums BTW) Anyway, last response almost 2 years ago - any new experiences to relate ? I am leaning towards Peak Design camera cubes inside an Ortlieb pannier, both of which I...

Best way lock a bike with nothing around?

And then lifted off the ground - 110 lbs worth of bikes + 40 lbs worth of rack and a few lbs worth of chains and locks all in a tangly mess. Sure it can be done, anything can be done, but not that easy with cars all around with only enough space for a person or so between cars. I always saw it...

Are covers on hitch dangerous ?

The Hitch I had installed is rated for 400 lbs tongue weight, I spoke to the installer and in his view - 2 E Bikes at 55 lbs each + Thule Rack at 35 lbs would be fine, but I can well imagine a good wind would be a multiplier to these numbers - anybody have a friend at NASA that can calculate...

Are covers on hitch dangerous ?

I have a Thule Easy Fold and looking forward to some Travel with 2 Bikes next Spring. Purchased a cover for the rain and road dirt but cannot help but wonder if this thing will act like a sail and put undue stress on the Hitch or Bike rack welds. Have seen some videos of an SUV traveling at 100...

Best way lock a bike with nothing around?

It is worth noting that there are usually cars parked all around my spot. When I took the picture there happened to be some open spots, but at night, almost never. Glad you are not a criminal 😀

Best way lock a bike with nothing around?

In the back of my parking spot, yes there are security cameras and motion sensitive lighting. Need fob to access residents parking. The rack has 8 3" bolts into concrete, of course a bulldozer can move it, but anything less I suspect not as easy. When I get the last lock - a Foldylock, you...

Rain Protection When Hauling Ebike on The Road?

Ordered the Formosa cover, one question that comes up in my mind is the risk of wind-stressing the hitch or rack (I have the Thule Easy Fold) and will be transporting two Trek EBikes

Rain Protection When Hauling Ebike on The Road?

I am thinking of getting one of these Formosa covers, are you still satisfied with it ? Are the straps and attachments holding up, or have you found that you need additional bungee or other straps ? Thanks
