Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

I’d make my case up front with your LBD as that is who will be making your case with Specialized. Mine went the distance to get me a Como 3.0 despite the fact that they had a Como 2.0 in stock, but they would have to install the TCD-W display.

Tweaking Circumference on Como Bikes to get REAL 20mph speed

I have my ECO set up for 35/55, SPORT set up for 60/80, and TURBO set up for 80/100.

Tweaking Circumference on Como Bikes to get REAL 20mph speed

I run my tires at 35 as well but have an extra 10 lbs on you. And I am 6'. M/L frame on bike. So, yeah, I think that's the magic number.

Tweaking Circumference on Como Bikes to get REAL 20mph speed

WOW! Thanks for that info! Sounds like your local bike store knew to plug that number in. As I said, I am very close with 2200. I'll have them change it to 2190. That saves me a lot of trial and error!

Tweaking Circumference on Como Bikes to get REAL 20mph speed

If you download Mission Control, and select TUNE, it will let you do some wonderful things like setting your standard and power speed thresholds, let you set up SMART RIDE for amortizing the right amount of battery power over longer rides, and it will show you your wheel circumference. I believe...

Tweaking Circumference on Como Bikes to get REAL 20mph speed

That would be circumference of 56.5487 inches. the Turbo software, while it used to let you put any measurement in there, now limits it between 2000 and 3000 mm. Which is roughly a range of 78 and 90 inches circumference or 24 to 28 inch diameter.

    Como Crank Sprocket Change.

My new Como 3.0 (2020) came with a 48 tooth. I like it better than the 40 tooth that was on my 2019 Como 2.0.

Help please - Range if miles to travel

You can’t. But with experience, you’ll have a good idea. Or, if you have the TCD-W display, or a system that works with Mission Control, you can use the smart ride feature to tell your bike how far or long you want to ride and it will manage battery and assist levels to let you go that far.

Tweaking Circumference on Como Bikes to get REAL 20mph speed

Hmmmm...interesting. More than anything, I'd just like the speed of the bike to be accurate to the GPS (iPhone, Apple Watch, and Garmin Explore 1000)...looks like the lowest it will go is a circumference of 78.74016 inches. That's down from the stock size setting of 90.27559 inches (or 2293 mm).

Tweaking Circumference on Como Bikes to get REAL 20mph speed

Today, I got the software on my 2020 Como 3.0 officially installed (new bike from Specialized to replace my 2.0 with the cracked frame). When doing it, I asked them to set the wheel circumference to 2200 instead of 2293 (the stock size). The reason is that when my old 2.0 indicated it was...

What Real World Range Are You Seeing With Your Specialized Turbo?

Longest ride I did with my 2019 Como 2.0 was 40 miles. Mostly ECO with some of the higher assist tossed in for a few hills. I got home with about 10% battery remaining. I weigh 205. Wind as a sustained 10-12mph headwind. This was before I had the TCD-W installed to replace then BLOKS, so I...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

My dealer, The Wheel Thing in La Grange, IL, took it up with Specialized as well. Initially they wanted to ship him a 2019 2.0, but because he'd already installed a TCD-W display, he convinced them that the 3.0 was more along the lines of what I had already, and they agreed. I gotta say, Kevin...

2020 Como 3 speed limiter question

Hey Alex, The site is a little confusing to the layperson. Would this work on a 2020 Como 3.0? If so, do you have installation instructions online? Thanks, Bob

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Glad to hear you are getting a bike with the same specs, AND the bonus of fenders! And as I said, the TCD-W system really opens things up.

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Sorry to hear about your bike, CoastChimes. One thing KCRider said that has me wondering - is it possible that the motor mounts are loosening, which is causing the frame to crack? Or vice versa? I don't know, but hope there's a fix from Specialized that will prevent it (some sort of plate or...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Looks like our posts crossed paths... I hope it all works out for you! I will say this - if you didn't have the TCD-W system, and used Mission Control, you are going to be VERY happy with it. The ability to adjust the low and power range of each of the three speed settings is great. And, for...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Erik's bikes seems to still have a few 2019 3.0s in M/L. Specialized has only SMALL left. (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) I wonder if one could be bought back from a dealer and shipped to your dealer for warranty replacement...
